Are breast implants heavier than normal breast tissue? I suspect that any surgery at all could affect the elasticity of the skin or whatever keeps the boobs from going south.

That should probably read "what ever structures keep the boobs up until they inevitably go south"

I did have to give my DD a bit of a lecture when she first had DGS as she was not wearing a bra at all in the very early days of feeding him.

I think a good civil engineering standard bra usually works! wink

Poor rhr46 must think he's landed in the ladies' changing room! confused

I think rhr46 saw the "I really want to know" title and thought it was a general thread for anything that you may "really want to know" but I could be wrong.

rhr46 you could either try DirectGov or perhaps AgeUK, they are very good at finding the answers to questions like yours. Good luck, I know it can be very confusing with things like this, it sometimes seems as if the Government don't want us to know!

I just don't get the connection with breast implants - am I losing it? grin

I'm a male of 66, on Pension Credit getting both the savings and guaranteed elements along with the State Pension. I cannot find any info online regarding working part time and if it will affect my status on Pension Credit. I know their is an limit regarding income tax.

No way! Just curious. Looking at myself in the mirror while dressing and speculating on gravity.

so long as you wore a good bra I would think they would look the same.

you gonna give it a go?

According to reports if implants are done when middle aged a breast lift may be needed if there is any sign of sagging, then the implants are inserted giving a new profile, not sure if they can say that the procedure will stay pert forever though.
What do you think would happen though when you came of an age for regular breast screening, its not a procedure I could ever contemplate I would probably need a reduction if the truth be told.

Don't know.

I wonder if transplants have been around long enough for anyone with them to have become old.

Intriguing question!

If you have breast implants when young to middle aged, does your bosom remain high and perky as the forces of gravity kick in? Or does the whole lot sag? Does anyone know?
