I have not managed to get any haggis but I have found some Aberdeen burgers in the freezer and a tin of Scotch Broth
My late grandmother was a Scot so we will have a drink to her tonight.

Fife, HUNTERF smile. We met at Elegran's in Edinburgh for a traditional Burns Supper - at lunchtime!

Hi Marelli

Thats a bit far for me to come as I am in Birmingham.
Due to the snow I did not try as hard as last year.

Aberdeen Angus burgers and Scotch Broth (especially with a dram later on) is a fine meal, HUNTERF*. smile

Thank you Elegran and all gransnet girls for making a stranger so very welcome. The food was delicious even the mashed tatties (I won't give away the secret) sorry we had to leave early but the snow at home was really was causing havoc. After a hot bath. Am now cosy cosy.

Hi Marelli

I have now had my Aberdeen Angus burgers and added a few oven chips to them.
I did not want to go looking for tatties in view of the conditions.
I have also had a whiskey and milk.
In view of the conditions I think I have done well tonight.

Chips are just fine, HUNTERF. If you went to a chippy up here you could ask for a Haggis Supper and you'd get a lovely haggis in batter and a pile of chips!
Not sure about the whisky and milk, but I'm sure it would be nice and warming!
