Well I am not in the least bit surprised. Very saddened yes. You only have to look at all the other threads posted yesterday and today. The same thing happened at the end of last year didn't it if I remember correctly?

I am sorry about Notso but I am just as sorry about all the others who have felt the need to finish with GN or hopefully still lurk. IT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME OLD SAME OLD, no lessons learnt, nor intended to be learnt.

I really don't know what has been going on, but I feel sad that some people are being upset, I know I'm only a newbie, of the last couple of months,but I thought this was such a nice site, everyone has been so kind to me, complete strangers but you were all so friendly when I was in hospital ( still waiting for a date to have my kidney removed by the way) and the kindness I received really helped me get over the shock of the results. Please everyone try and be kind to each other, this site is so comforting, and really there is no room for nastiness, life is too short.

Kitty, so there is a parallel universe ... ?! I don't have a clue what' s going on, am just about hanging in. There' s much about GN that is good and I' d be sorry to lose that.

I'm another who doesn't know what's going on behind the scenes – never suspected there was a behind the scenes until very recently, in fact. I'm sorry notso didn't feel there was still plenty to enjoy on gransnet. Goodbye, notso.

I have been lurking for a good few weeks now only posting occasionally I am also sad at what is happening,and feel as others that there are things that are going on that I am unaware of,I am glad that others have said that they feel left wondering what is going on and out of things,it is only the support and kind words that I have had in the past,keep me still logging on,I hope this bad phase soon passes and GN can continue in the peaceable way that it once was when I joined a year ago

Like you, anno, I'm hanging on. I've met too many fine people here to give up, though I'm sorely tempted at times. I've also worked out who is leaving, and it's making me quite unhappy.

Can I say that I very rarely know what is going on behind the scenes here, I was always the same at school never knew what was going on until it was too late.

Its Notso that has left and I am so mad/sad/upset that she has had to go.

I just felt that you should all be aware that people are being driven away by all this Rutting for want of a better description. Sorry if I have offended anyone by that but that's whats its like!

I agree absolutely, merlot. There does seem to be an awful lot going on 'behind the scenes', together with cryptic comments and references to members having two identities etc. Paranoia?

I think I can deduce who you mean, Glass, because I had noticed a dropping off in posts and I am shocked that she feels that she no longer belongs. I feel a change in the atmosphere here and am hanging on, but not getting involved in disputes if I can help it.

I'm sorry someone else feels the need to leave but I have to agree with others that there is a whole lot going on that I have no notion of.. I admit I don't read every thread from end to end but it seems odd that I and others seem to 'miss' a lot of these undercurrents and disagreements...

This is terribly sad, glass and shouldn't be happening. Can we not know who it is? One of the things I have found frustrating about Gransnet is that there seems to be so much going on behind the scenes. It doesn't encourage positive posting.

It's a shame that well established members are leaving.....but dare I say , as an "outsider", I can see why!

Aga sorry thats sounds like a stove .... bumping is when you keep bringing a thread back to the top of the active/last hour so people can see them as they can slip off the bottom of the page and get missed.

Please could you tell me what bumping is glassortwo,as I am relatively new to GN.
