I think it's fantastic that they have found him and that he will be burried in Leicester. York and London have enough to attract visitors. I'm sure it will make a difference to Leicester and hope they cash in on it.

It is quite significant. He was a king of England and the last one to be killed leading is army in battle. There is all the DNA stuff which I find fasinating. People from all over the world are interested. It is a great story if nothing else.

That is really unfair. He was a cultured man and a humane legislator. Anyone commenting on his motives etc, has to look at the context of the times in which he lived. That is very violent times at the end of long and bitter civil war. Compared with the other monarchs of the time including Henry Vll. He was one of the better guys.

I was appalled by David Starkeys lack of historical perspective on a program on Saturday night. He failed to mention any of the contextual factors which may have led to a fairer assessment of Richard's actions at the time.

He is apparently going to be buried at Leicester Cathedral. The press conference said is standard practice in Archeology to bury remains in the nearest consecrated ground to where they were found.

Channel 4 at 9pm tonight has a proper program on this.

I'm sure that the Richard the Third Society will ensure that the remains of this great king will be interred appropriately, as you can see I did not believe the propaganda. and yet
