Good Morning Everyone,
Its a cold and frosty start here in Brackley this morning.

Bez Fri 15-Feb-13 07:54:12

Dull so far but not frosty here in SW France.

ginny Fri 15-Feb-13 09:08:38

Blue sky but chilly here in North Bucks.

gracesmum Fri 15-Feb-13 09:12:04

And a frosty night too! Good morning!

Big hole in garden. Thunderbolt struck in night.

Or could have been a spaceship landed.

In south-east.

gracesmum Fri 15-Feb-13 09:53:42

Good grief! You haven't been doing secret gardening in your sleep have you?
Badgers? Foxes, moles? Are you serious about it being a thunderbolt - scary!

NW meet-up today! That will brighten a dull day. sunshine

glammanana Fri 15-Feb-13 10:17:01

Good morning to everyone, enjoy the meet-up today smile
Its bright and crisp here to-day but am wondering how long that will last I need to drive down to my friends to-day so am hoping snow will stay away.

annodomini Fri 15-Feb-13 10:32:44

Wish you were joining us, glamma. Maybe another time?

Having been two weeks without a washing machine, the engineer came today!
Result, he has to order a new mother board and will return and fit it next Friday!

harrigran Fri 15-Feb-13 11:22:05

It is bright and sunny here in the north east, quite spring-like really sunshine

annodomini Fri 15-Feb-13 11:23:54

That is disgracefully bad service, Galen. It would be worthwhile notifying the retailer you bought it from because it's really their responsibility under the supply of goods and services act.

Ella46 Fri 15-Feb-13 11:26:28

Gorgeous sunny spring-like day here smile, I feel full of beans (not literally). sunshine

nanaej Fri 15-Feb-13 12:13:13

Washing on the line today..bright and sunny here in Surrey! Sunshine has motivated me to tidy a cupboard and i might just tackle the cupboard under the stairs!

Nelliemoser Fri 15-Feb-13 12:27:18

Galen That is bad! Is the machine under warranty with a particular service supplier?
We contacted a local repairer the other week when the bearings finally went on a 13yr old Zannussi washing machine. They collected it Wednesday morning and returned it Friday afternoon. It's now running very quietly again.
I do wonder with the big contractors how determined they are to repair things?

numberplease Fri 15-Feb-13 15:47:43

Sunny here, 9 degrees, very mild.

Stansgran Fri 15-Feb-13 19:02:35

Lovely day. Up to 8.degrees .sheets on the line and dry by 5pm.first time washing out this year and it smells so fragrant. It,s the little things in life....

celebgran Fri 15-Feb-13 19:30:15

Phew don't talk about supply of goods see thread ref bathroom!

annodomini Fri 15-Feb-13 19:45:37

I swear by local repairers. They have no call-out charge and one of them, having told me that the part I needed was no longer made, then said he would improvise it by cutting down another part. And it lasted several more years.

Galen Fri 15-Feb-13 19:51:28

The trouble is I'm only in on Fridays!
I have DD and DGD visiting today and I've only just got the iPad to myself!

celebgran Fri 22-Feb-13 15:09:17

In Normandy the temperature is hovering around freezing and dropping below overnight. Today there is a nasty cold wind that makes it feel even colder. We have decided to shut ourselves in ramp up the stove and snuggle down in front of it
