I'm a bit worried that we haven't heard anymore from Gm

Today, my brothers and I are going into battle with one of the directors Mum's Home - wish us luck. My list of complaints is at number 25 now. angry

The beaches were glorious yesterday. My two youngest GC (3 and 4) came home soaked and covered in sand, with a huge assortment of driftwood. Lovely times. smile

A glorious day. On my way to see DGS I crossed the Peak Dstrict. 10am at the top of Winnats Pass near Castleton. Blue sky lovely sunshine with some real warmth. Birds singing and the fantastic country smells, peace and calm and glorious views. I stopped for a bit, got my camera out and walked over the top of the pass to get some good views. It was so beautiful I came over all emotional. Beethoven pastoral symphony stuff.
Blissful smile sunshine

Commiserations Number... I have one just like that, usually finds the little 'treat' I've been keeping for myself too angry saying:
'I just thought this needed eating up'.

Soop keep spoiling the men in your life smile

Gally you could always join me at 'Shopaholics Anon' smile.

Some days are just up there with the best that life has to offer. You clearly had one of those days soop and B. sunshine

Glad to hear Mr. Soop is doing well.

Meanwhile, I cleaned windows, hung out laundry, cooked for friends coming to supper this evening, all in wonderful sunshine. I've just laid the table and lit the open fire, thinking I've had one of those good days, too. smile

Photos of Us Two and a couple of wee Howard posted on my profile now.

soop Tue 19-Feb-13 17:11:27

Hello everyone. As Bag's says, today was perfect in every way. It's hard to believe that we blethered for nigh on three hours...time passes all too quickly when with friends. Her photos of new-born Howard Hugh, are delightful. flowers
Mr soop has phoned from his hospital bed. He sounded a trifle woozy but is now thinking in terms of escaping and returning home. It certainly feels very strange to be here without him. Bless!
Rory had been guarding the house and jogged strolled to welcome me. He then pestered me for food and I was encouraged to open both front and back doors [so that he could saunter between the two and admire the view]. grin
Kintyre is absolutely stunning today. Jura and Islay appear to be painted in watercolours and are rising mistily from a perfectly placid sea. The lochs were frozen at the edges this morning. The rock pools on the beach, are still glazed with a thin layer of ice. Not a cloud in the sky.

Bags, what a lovely mind picture you paint, making me "homesick" for Argyll and Kintyre! Glad you both had a lovely get together, looking forward to seeing the photos.
