gillieB just go into Local on the banner above and you are probably already logging it to that site unless you have been looking at others, on the left hand side there is a forum tab you will find your post there, have you looked at the Hexham site?

I cant even get the Newcastle one. Keeps going to Hexham !

I got newcastle /tyne/wear and durham .some one has asked on durham if anyone want,s to meet up x

gillieB just change the group by putting Newcastle in the search bar when the map comes up.

I must say, I'm finding this local forum thingy a bit confusing. I ended up googling Gransnet Oxford and posted a message on the site given there. I seem to be the only poster and now am anxious as to whether I've gone about it the right way

goose there are a few sites which dont have much activity yet as they are waiting for editors, but someone may reply.

Maniac if you click on the GN banner you will find another one about the local site. I don't know why it isn't accessible from this page. That would make a lot more sense to me.

move Just under the GN logo on the top left of this page,there is a band of different tabs , starts withForums, Local, blogs etc etc, click on the local and it takes you straight to the Locals, you have to pick your own area or you can keep swopping beween them all.

I go to my local page (West Hampshire & New Forest) & click on Local Forums. There are no active discussions or topics listed. Click on the blued Discussions and it takes me back to the main GN list of discussion categories.

Do I need to raise my voice?

There isn't anything posted glass and when I try try to get the ball rolling with a post it takes me back to the main GN site.

Off to the National Meetup thread now....have been Googling 'centre of the UK'
