Somebody has just telephoned and asked me if he was speaking to the lunatic asylum.
Surely all lunatics should have been locked up hours ago.

Can't we make a pact not to reply to any of Frank's OPs? Can't he see that it is his attitude which attracts all the ill feeling against him? It has gone way beyond a joke! I feel my blood start to boil as soon as I see his name, and I am normally a very placid person. My sympathy goes out to all who have come across him in their home or working lives. A life full of so much bitterness must be a very sad one. sad

Nonu Sun 24-Mar-13 13:35:31

I do not think there is ill feeling towards Hunter .
Think most people just take his posts with a pinch of salt, and have a good laugh .

I know I do !!

Me too, Nonu! The only time I didn't like Frank was when he was 'celebrating' the death of someone.

Nonu Sun 24-Mar-13 13:38:37

Ana , YES

ginny Sun 24-Mar-13 13:45:53

I agree with Nonu. I really don't think any of us should take him seriously. I suspect he / she doesn't expect us to either.

Nonu Sun 24-Mar-13 13:48:51

Ginny YES.

It takes a very organised mind to compose the posts that FH sends. Whoever is writing them has to compute all that has gone before. If it is not a real or a virtual Frank writing them, then it is a master scriptwriter. If it is a computer app, a lot of novelists would buy it.

annodomini Sun 24-Mar-13 15:35:46

I agree, Elegran. I have often had the thought that Frank is a carefully constructed and scripted character and we are the supporting cast.

absent Sun 24-Mar-13 15:47:33

Elegran I don't think many novelists would buy such a app as the plot is so repetitive and boring, repetitive and boring, repetitive and boring, repetitive and…

Elegran Sun 24-Mar-13 16:12:45

They might if you could construct your own characters - put in personality quirks, past life experiences, family and friends, obsessions, prejudices, location of residence, value of house and history of occupation/ownership, financial status, past and present occupations (and pensions from past ones) blah blah blah.

Then at a press of a "create" button, it whirrs for a minute or two, and a plot (of sorts) and suitable interaction and dialogue for the main character and his acquaintances emerges at the other end. Then the author gets it publishes as "My crazy life" or "Oddly enough . . ."

The list of free books that is emailed daily from eqreader has a lot that must have been created that way.

I have a 'fantasy' that s/he is researching ideas & attitudes for a novel and is trying out a character etc etc.

Reminds me of an itch you can't reach!

sunseeker Sun 24-Mar-13 17:14:37

Could he be the alter ego of Ivanhoe?

Ana Sun 24-Mar-13 17:24:14

No way - too right wing! grin

sunseeker Sun 24-Mar-13 17:33:15

I agree he is too right wing but could that be part of his cunning plan, disgust us with his extreme right wing views until we all move over to the dark side grin

Ana Sun 24-Mar-13 17:34:28

grin

Galen Sun 24-Mar-13 18:07:49

He's a computer. A Hal lookalike.
Only a computer could be SO one track! Not even men are THAT bad!

annodomini Sun 24-Mar-13 18:22:50

My late MiL could be grin

ginny Sun 24-Mar-13 19:06:51

My MIL must have a similar computer, but it deals with medical issues. OOps, better not give frank any ideas. grin
