It hasn't come back so I'm starting this thread again!

Physio has told me to wear my high heels all the time! He thinks my problem could be because I started to wear them at 16 and continued until I stopped work but now only wear them when out and about and not in jeans or track suits.

I love my high heels and now the official permission to wear them all the time. smile

Just imagine me slobbing round the house in scruffy track suit bottoms and stilletos?

Movedalot Fri 12-Apr-13 10:36:50

You are all leading me astray - again grin. Wondering what DH will say next week when I am dressing before my next appointment hmm

Galen Fri 12-Apr-13 10:23:09

I remember one day in surgery one of the partners had been taken ill, so his appointments were shared amongst the rest of us!
One lady arrived in her stilettos, glared at me, got undressed.
Sexy French green knickers and matching bra.
Didn't impress me!

Ariadne Fri 12-Apr-13 10:08:42

You could wear appropriate lingerie with your high heels - couldn't you??? grin

Movedalot Fri 12-Apr-13 09:32:37

Oh Mishap you don't know what you are missing! A agree that some people really just don't know how to walk in them but those who do just look fabulous don't they? Never been the cause of sprained ankle but have broken ankles twice for other reasons!

I like my physio's advice and am making the most of it as it will probably change next week!

Ana Thu 11-Apr-13 22:24:13

The current fashion for flat, ballerina-style shoes makes girls walk in a strangely duck-like way, I think. Not attractive.

j08 Thu 11-Apr-13 22:20:07

Never warn high heels?!!! Not ever?!

Maybe you could give it a try now. sad

Mishap Thu 11-Apr-13 22:15:33

High heels? - never worn them, not once, never, ever! Can't even imagine how people walk in them.

If I was to be honest - sorry folks - I really don't think they look very nice. They alter posture to its detriment, and make people walk oddly.

And how do you manage not to sprain your ankles? - I cannot imagine how it's done.

Galen Thu 11-Apr-13 18:37:31

Might be wrong but I seem to remember a discussion about horses and what happened to them?

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 18:34:17

Blimey is that right Galen ?

Oh that does make her quite posh them doesn't it?

My granddaughters love horses and can't resist Channel 4 racing on TV hmm

Galen Thu 11-Apr-13 18:26:45

She owned racehorses I thinkhmm

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 18:13:55

Not sure how far down Sel has sunk is so I couldn't possibly comment Movedalot

She definitely sounds posher than you though, sorry.

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 16:45:39

Ah but is Sel further 'down there' than me? Is she posher than me with her grounds?

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 16:41:55

It is me who is "up here" and Movedalot and Sel who is down there.

smile

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 16:23:00

Never thought of that. Oh definitely, grounds as in lots and lots of garden must make her very posh. Then of course she has referred to you being 'up there' so she is not only very posh but a posh southerner! That means extra, extra posh!

Of course I'm not as far 'up there' as I think you are! grin

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:34:48

She could have meant her coffee Movedalot are we jumping to conclusions thinking she has a big posh estate?

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 15:22:52

No Glass not high enough! grin

Oooh Sel grounds, so posh! How big is your estate?

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:17:51

No Sel we would say oot the back. grin

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 15:16:24

gringrin off to check round my grounds - you'd say garden up there gilly

glassortwo Thu 11-Apr-13 15:15:56

move you could get some of these

Dominatrix padlock shoes

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:15:44

Sel are you deliberately trying to get me in to trouble? It's not big and it's not clever.

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:13:37

Blimey can't wait to find out Movedalot just wait and see what pops up eh? shock

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 15:13:14

Moved if you don't know at your age what he'll find I think Gilly might enlighten you grin

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Apr-13 15:12:48

GillyB you didn't have to use that word! I didn't make you. I was assuming you to be a woman of good manners and so terribly terribly polite.
Not foul mouthed like me. grin

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:12:35

You been reading my school reports again Sel ?

Ha. You forgot to add ........ distracts others from their work. smile

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 15:10:53

Nellie I think it is because I don't fit his image of an 'elderly lady'. He just doesn't have a clue how to speak to me. If he would only talk to his colleague whi is my pilates teacher he would be better able to deal with me.

No black leather but you and gilly have got my mind racing about what to wear next week. So far I have only gone in track suit and trainers.

Wonder what he will find next week when he touches my bare bits?
