It hasn't come back so I'm starting this thread again!

Physio has told me to wear my high heels all the time! He thinks my problem could be because I started to wear them at 16 and continued until I stopped work but now only wear them when out and about and not in jeans or track suits.

I love my high heels and now the official permission to wear them all the time. smile

Just imagine me slobbing round the house in scruffy track suit bottoms and stilletos?

glassortwo Thu 11-Apr-13 14:35:21

Oh move you cant beat advice like that, when all are telling us how bad heels are for us and you get encouragement, brilliant.

HildaW Thu 11-Apr-13 14:36:52

What an image Movedalot.....very glam!

Mind you decent fitting high heels make you feel pretty special. Husband and I are learning to dance and my practice dance shoes have 2 inch heels which is much more than I normally wear, but they are very well made and hold may foot beautifully - I feel very nimble in them, quite girly in fact!

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 14:39:56

Oh wow, out of those scruffy track suit bottoms and into something more suitable immediately. Picturing you now smile I envy you moved, I'm 5'10 so rarely wore high heels. My youngest daughter has no such inhibitions and wears them really high. I always felt I'd have a bit of smug superiority when I was older in as much as my feet are in good shape and the high heeled amongst you would be bunioned to death. But no. Enjoy.

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 14:41:05

Ooooh Hilda quite girly, steady girl grin

HildaW Thu 11-Apr-13 14:46:40

Sel I'm 5' 8 and used to wear those huge great stacked heels in the 70s. It was my way of rebelling having been made to wear the most disgusting things at school. My Mum used to tut at me and say daft things like....'you are tall enough my girl, you'll never find a boy friend in those!'

Never mind............as for being girly, I've been getting to grips with the Rumba this morning!

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 14:47:55

I still have great feet, despite the stilletos for years.

2 inches Hilda come on you can do better than that. Pop over sometime and I'll show you my really high ones! grin

I was only 5'2" until last year when I was measured and told I am now nearly 5' 3"! I think that must be the pilates. The heels mean I can actually look some people in the face instead of the chest! wink

I fell over and broke my ankle a few years ago and DSs keep saying it was the heels so permission to wear them from a physio is a triumph for me!

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 14:49:46

Yes Hilda so did I (and I had some in pink FGS) And disgusting black lace up Clarks shoes for school.

You're beginning to worry me now though Hilda feeling girly and getting to grips with a rumba. Hmmmmmmm.

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 14:51:27

Moved if Hilda is proud of her two inches, don't flaunt your superiority and make her feel inadequate. People will be after you grin

Notso Thu 11-Apr-13 14:52:37

How about these Moved?

compare.ebay.co.uk/like/360414346522?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla&crdt=0

Gorr Juss!

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 14:53:19

But surely size matters sel? Anyway Hilda is probably taller than me to start with. grin

HildaW Thu 11-Apr-13 14:55:10

2 inches is plenty nowadays wink...........I have an ankle that can 'go' just for the sheer hell of it, and I end up doing a very painfull Dick Emery! But I must say since starting the dancing 6 months ago I do think I've added some strength to my feet - have not turned ankle for quite some time.

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 14:55:11

Oh Movedalot I do hope your physio is above board (if you know what I mean wink wink) and not asking you to wear stilletos which is an entirely different thing. shock

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 14:57:48

GILLYBOB get back to your reports grin

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 15:00:08

You have a wicked mind gilly, bad girl! shock

Actually I think he is a bit intimidated by me. He keeps saying I am very strong and 'for your age' is left hanging in the air, unsaid. He doesn't really know what is causing the problem but I mentioned that I always used to wear high heels so I think that might be why he suggested it.

Or you could be right and I could go in wearing high heels and .................................... next week grin

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 15:03:40

Well as long as he didn't specify other items I think you'll be ok. I am not interpreting that long line of dots as 'a mac and nothing else'

I blame gilly, this scenario would never have crossed my mind earlier.

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Apr-13 15:04:01

Is he potential toy boy material then Moved Or will writing that get me banned. wink

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:04:54

No Sel . Nelliemoser told me to say Bugger it on another thread. So I did and I have !

Hmmmmm Movedalot I sense something not quite right here. I bet he doesn't know what's causing your problem (well he wouldn't want to diagnose you too quickly would he and spoil all the fun). Perhaps you should go in wearing the stilletos next week and he just might find a way to "put you right" shock

keep us posted. Can't wait to find out what he asks you to wear next.

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:06:08

Come off it Sel are you expecting me to believe the thought hadn't even crossed your mind? smile

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Apr-13 15:07:22

Intimidated by you eh "moved"!
Could you win him over by becoming a dominatrix! Do you have any black leather.

This gets more interesting by the minute. wink

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Apr-13 15:08:36

Moved that should be. Wrong symbols.

Sel Thu 11-Apr-13 15:10:45

gilly it's no use blaming Nelliemoser for making you say rude words. Easily led, obviously and slacking to boot. Harrrumph!

Movedalot Thu 11-Apr-13 15:10:53

Nellie I think it is because I don't fit his image of an 'elderly lady'. He just doesn't have a clue how to speak to me. If he would only talk to his colleague whi is my pilates teacher he would be better able to deal with me.

No black leather but you and gilly have got my mind racing about what to wear next week. So far I have only gone in track suit and trainers.

Wonder what he will find next week when he touches my bare bits?

gillybob Thu 11-Apr-13 15:12:35

You been reading my school reports again Sel ?

Ha. You forgot to add ........ distracts others from their work. smile

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Apr-13 15:12:48

GillyB you didn't have to use that word! I didn't make you. I was assuming you to be a woman of good manners and so terribly terribly polite.
Not foul mouthed like me. grin
