The issue is censorship. What gives you or anyone the right to decide what citizens should or should not listen to?

J08 we were all very pleased with the report too.

My motivation was not to be cruel or unkind but to respond to a political situation and to create some redress to the eulogising of a politician that I totally disagreed with. Thatcher was a high profile public figure whose actions and decisions impacted on the lives of everyone in the UK. I think it was a fairly innocuous way to try to highlight how unpopular her politics were with a large section of society. I think her family are tough enough to cope with it!

I notice that media voices who are most opposed to Leveson are the most vocal in wishing to ban the song.

Banning things is easy. Tolerating a view that is fundamentally opposed to ones own is a mark of a democratic and free society.

And indeed, whatever ones views of Mrs Thatcher she was certainly in favour of freedom.

And no amount of whining about the horridness of it changes any of that.
