on Sunday, then I believe it will show that this country has lost any small semblance of moral decency it was holding onto. And that the heads of a national institution have let all thoughts of ethical reasoning go out of the window in favour of political correctness.

I can only hope that it doesn't make number one.

But, my God, this country has sunk to an all-time low.

Very sad.

Got in a while ago after a really lovely day.

It counteracted the sadness I felt about Lady Thatcher yesterday .

Went over to a friend with three others for lunch as the "chaps" have gone to Newmarket -racing.

We sat in her conservatory and it was lovely to see the breezes blowing around and the daffodils nodding their little heads ,while we were having a cosy chat amongst other things , about the funeral , and how much we admired the way it was handled.

It was generally agreed it was "The Tops". Well done to all concerned .

P.S. The lunch was delious also

After watching Baroness Thatcher's Funeral yesterday I came to the happy conclusion that all the silly songs, daft parties, so called protestors and so on are of absolutely no consequence whatever. For every detractor there are many many supporters, typified by the huge and respectful crowds who lined the London Streets yesterday. The whole event was dignified, appropriate and fitting for an extraordinary woman who played a blinder on the national and international stage. I expect there will be rants to these remarks but do you know what - I don't care. Yesterday showed the reality.

Yes Bags, just like that - except that all through it I was waiting for Fry & Laurie to get round to reverse polarity. I am sure they could make a sketch out of that phrase.

nonu Climbers and reverse polarity

I was not referring to any specific thread, just remarking that sometimes there is no obvious progression to the converation, just a series of separate statements.
