A beautiful, bright good morning to you all from bonnie Kintyre. sunshine Today, the sea is teal green. The air is clear and, as I opened the door, I could smell the brine coming off it. The ferry, on its way to Islay, is trailing a deep, white, frothy wake behind it.

vegas Snap! I had my aid fitted a wee while ago. Wow...what a positive difference it makes. I'm able to hear the cat snore and purr. And, like you, the staff at my audiology clinic couldn't have been kinder.

It has been a glorious day here in Northumberland; however, we decided to take my DGS to the coast this afternoon and the temperature dropped the nearer we got to the sea. Beautiful blue sky, a wind from Siberia and nobody venturing on the sand because it was absolutely raw - I think we lasted five minutes and then decamped to the nearest playground which was the land side of the dunes and marginally warmer. We had a lovely time at the playground and then took DGS home. Currently DH and I are half looking at the laptops, but with drooping eyes - we could both fall asleep after an hour or so in the fresh air!

Lovely to hear that, vegas!

Just checked my records, and actually it's the first time since 21 October 2012 that the temp has gone above 13° here (six months+). So I reckon that means winter is over now smile sunshine coming in NW window just now too!

Now kitted out with a state of the art NHS hearing aid, all digitally calibrated. Such kind and knowledgeable staff at the audiology clinic - nothing too much trouble for them.

number and Nellie...call in any time you're passing. You would be made very welcome. cupcake brew sunshine

Max temp 13.3°C here (warmer in the sun of course) – the first time it has been above 13 this year. Birch budburst and bird cherry blossom out (and already falling in the NW breeze).

Glorious afternoon - did some pruning and then sat in the garden with the Kindle. But as soon as I'd gone to find my sunhat, the clouds came over. It was very hot at the back door where I have a max/min thermometer.

Soop will regret enthusing over her lovely views when we all descend on her for a visit. wink
My nearest sea is the Dee and Mersey estuarine muds and that is about 40 miles away.

Enjoy it Soop we are only jealous! envy

It`s a beautiful sunny day hereb in Boston, wind all gone, 11 degrees, but we don`t have any blue sea or distant islands to gaze upon, just ugly buildingssad

Had coffee with friend, looked around my garden, planted beautiful pansies in tubs, listened to more of my music. Now for a day of 'fasting' as I am on the 5:2 way of eating sad - Always feel better the next day, but the next day is an awful long way away at the moment.

Stansgran Tue 30-Apr-13 12:08:18

Still bright and sunny here in Durham. Washing is out and a cauliflower soup ready for lunch. All the ironing done(from last week) and I'm going to sew all afternoon in the sunlight.

Flowerofthewest Tue 30-Apr-13 11:04:48

Please leave out the several 'cos' this version sung by Brian Hurran their newest and youngest member. He seems to like cos. I don't instead read and in most cases.

Sunny but chilly, listening to Runrig "In Search Of Angels" one of my favourite tracks, such beautiful words.

Pick up the broken pieces off the ground, know your diminishing returns
and take a good look at the Master Plan cos down here every candle burns,
You are as gentle as the morning dawn, torment can't wash away your grace
in search of angels with the Uist eyes so many suns light up you face.
Tonight the skies are red, so red they fill my eyes, sundown on barren words that can't describe your Island paradise, cos I know that all is well with the world so don't worry any more don't worry now cos another sun will rise.

Too many seas to cross too many roads, you leave me with my Higher need, this one horizon in our borrowed hour such little lives we lead, tonight the skies are red so red they fill my eyes, sundown on barren words that can't describe your island paradise. Don't worry any more, don't worry now, cos another sun will rise.
