It's beautiful here this morning in South Cheshire. sunshine

Morning from a very wet and dull Dordogne - much colder too - lit the stove again last night.

Hanging out the washing I realised it was warm enough to sit outside, this before 8 0'clock! So I did just that. Lovely feeling the warm rays sunshine

Mostly cloudy here in Manchester, but apparently will improve. Just about to hang out the washing then off for my annual audiology assessment. Rather dreading it as I think my hearing loss is getting worse, but then I think myself fortunate as my default setting is rude health and high spirits. Enjoy the warmer weather, everyone.

Sun, not a cloud in the sky, no wind, thank heavens, and a massive 7 degrees shock. May dust off Betsy my bright yellow bicycle who hasn't seen daylight for quite a long time.......

Galen Tue 30-Apr-13 09:58:06

Lovely here some cloud but sunny.

soop Tue 30-Apr-13 10:11:44

Good morning to you all from bonnie Kintyre. The glassy sea and morning sky are powder blue. There are a few whispy , feathery clouds. The islands appear to have been painted in softest watercolours. Utterly lovely! [sunshin] smile

Very wet and very grey. Roof leak. Making soup.

Sunny here in Cheshire....hurrah!

Grannyeggs Tue 30-Apr-13 10:33:16

Beautiful here in London. I'm off to Hindhead to pick up my Step-Mother from her retirement home and take her out to lunch.

Overcast here is the East Mids - have I said that before recently? sad

Sunny but chilly, listening to Runrig "In Search Of Angels" one of my favourite tracks, such beautiful words.

Pick up the broken pieces off the ground, know your diminishing returns
and take a good look at the Master Plan cos down here every candle burns,
You are as gentle as the morning dawn, torment can't wash away your grace
in search of angels with the Uist eyes so many suns light up you face.
Tonight the skies are red, so red they fill my eyes, sundown on barren words that can't describe your Island paradise, cos I know that all is well with the world so don't worry any more don't worry now cos another sun will rise.

Too many seas to cross too many roads, you leave me with my Higher need, this one horizon in our borrowed hour such little lives we lead, tonight the skies are red so red they fill my eyes, sundown on barren words that can't describe your island paradise. Don't worry any more, don't worry now, cos another sun will rise.

Written by Calum Macdonald for his cousin who passed away.

Please leave out the several 'cos' this version sung by Brian Hurran their newest and youngest member. He seems to like cos. I don't instead read and in most cases.

Still bright and sunny here in Durham. Washing is out and a cauliflower soup ready for lunch. All the ironing done(from last week) and I'm going to sew all afternoon in the sunlight.

Had coffee with friend, looked around my garden, planted beautiful pansies in tubs, listened to more of my music. Now for a day of 'fasting' as I am on the 5:2 way of eating sad - Always feel better the next day, but the next day is an awful long way away at the moment.

You`re doing it again Soop!smile
It`s a beautiful sunny day hereb in Boston, wind all gone, 11 degrees, but we don`t have any blue sea or distant islands to gaze upon, just ugly buildingssad

Nelliemoser Tue 30-Apr-13 17:13:58

Soop will regret enthusing over her lovely views when we all descend on her for a visit. wink
My nearest sea is the Dee and Mersey estuarine muds and that is about 40 miles away.

Enjoy it Soop we are only jealous! envy

Glorious afternoon - did some pruning and then sat in the garden with the Kindle. But as soon as I'd gone to find my sunhat, the clouds came over. It was very hot at the back door where I have a max/min thermometer.

Bags Tue 30-Apr-13 18:04:15

Max temp 13.3°C here (warmer in the sun of course) – the first time it has been above 13 this year. Birch budburst and bird cherry blossom out (and already falling in the NW breeze).

soop Tue 30-Apr-13 18:16:39

number and Nellie...call in any time you're passing. You would be made very welcome. cupcake brew sunshine

Now kitted out with a state of the art NHS hearing aid, all digitally calibrated. Such kind and knowledgeable staff at the audiology clinic - nothing too much trouble for them.

Bags Tue 30-Apr-13 18:35:26

Lovely to hear that, vegas!

Just checked my records, and actually it's the first time since 21 October 2012 that the temp has gone above 13° here (six months+). So I reckon that means winter is over now smile sunshine coming in NW window just now too!
