We have soft and grey and an invisible far side of the loch again today, but I noticed my forget-me-nots ('field' forget-me-nots rather than the garden variety – much smaller plants and they grow in odd wee crevices rather than in flowerbeds) have begun to flower

Beautiful day here again in Hertfordshire, the sun is shining and we are off picnicking at a bird reserve, hoping to hear the elusive nightingale who has just arrived in this country. 5 singing males at the reserve so far. Fingers crossed.

Lovely morning now in NE Cheshire, sook. I sat in the sun for a while yesterday and my knees turned pink. Today the amelanchier blossom is out. It's such a pretty tree which also has an abundance of berries in the autumn which the birds strip as soon as they appear.

Its beautiful in West London, I've just opened up all the windows, so nice not to have the heat on anymore.
