It's a bit dull here this morning but I'm not complaining

Its beautiful in West London, I've just opened up all the windows, so nice not to have the heat on anymore.
Happy 65th for yesterday .

Lovely morning now in NE Cheshire, sook. I sat in the sun for a while yesterday and my knees turned pink. Today the amelanchier blossom is out. It's such a pretty tree which also has an abundance of berries in the autumn which the birds strip as soon as they appear.

Beautiful day here again in Hertfordshire, the sun is shining and we are off picnicking at a bird reserve, hoping to hear the elusive nightingale who has just arrived in this country. 5 singing males at the reserve so far. Fingers crossed.

We have soft and grey and an invisible far side of the loch again today, but I noticed my forget-me-nots ('field' forget-me-nots rather than the garden variety – much smaller plants and they grow in odd wee crevices rather than in flowerbeds) have begun to flower

Blue sky in central London earlier but has clouded over slightly now.

Cloudy but warm here today, was glorious yesterday, I caught the sun after spending the day in the woods yesterday with my DGD and her class.

I am sitting at my desk at work bloomin' well freezing. Heater on full blast and the sky is a kind of wishy washy grey/blue. The clouds are rolling in from the East. But never mind Its Friday, yipeeeeee

Belated happy birthday Michael - you were missed! Cloudy and breezy here in Manc. Off to the North East tomorrow to see my DS and family - looks like I'll be packing the big jumpers and heavy coat!

vegas dont know where in the North East your coming but Newcastle is 2 top coats warmer than it was this time last week, you wont need jumpers, I have even taken my heavy coat off enjoy your trip.

Thank you glass I am off to Chester le Street, but I find you people in the North East very hardy. My DIL went to work in deep snow and freezing temperatures dressed in a little frock and ballet flats! I might just pop one or two things in my case, just to be on the safe side.

Gilly - this much I know. We will be out and about as my hosts love the outdoors and I was once on the beach in so-called summer, so cold that my fingers went white and dead. Funnily enough, I refused the offer of an ice cream ...

I live almost across the road from the beach and can be found there almost every evening in the "summer" and every Sunday throughout the year. Yes its bloody freezing quite bracing but so peaceful and beautiful.

We had summer yesterday gilly I have got sun burn on my chest. non of the kids had sun hats or suntan lotion on.

Another one in Northumberland and I am sitting, shivering in the house - yet it is sunny outside. I am trying not to put on the central heating, but may give in soon. DH is off on his bike with his cycling friends and I am waiting for DD to arrive (only two weeks to go on Monday, for her).

I am shivering here at work too GillieB but give in the heating hours ago. The guys are in and out all the time and never seem to think to PUT THE WOOD IN THE HOLE ! Grrrrrrrrr
