Hurray, am glad you enjoyed some theatre Anno. Kush is an amazing actress, no hiding in that exchange space.

U3A trip to the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester to see A Doll's House. What a fantastic production. The lead was an actress called Kush Jumbo (yes really) whom I don't recall seeing before. She was just superb, and the rest of the cast were also excellent. One of the best productions I have ever seen there. Very satisfying.

It was freezing at Seaburn today. Went for lunch with my two sisters but there was no walk on the promenade afterwards.

Another one in Northumberland and I am sitting, shivering in the house - yet it is sunny outside. I am trying not to put on the central heating, but may give in soon. DH is off on his bike with his cycling friends and I am waiting for DD to arrive (only two weeks to go on Monday, for her).

We had summer yesterday gilly I have got sun burn on my chest. non of the kids had sun hats or suntan lotion on.

I live almost across the road from the beach and can be found there almost every evening in the "summer" and every Sunday throughout the year. Yes its bloody freezing quite bracing but so peaceful and beautiful.

Gilly - this much I know. We will be out and about as my hosts love the outdoors and I was once on the beach in so-called summer, so cold that my fingers went white and dead. Funnily enough, I refused the offer of an ice cream ...

Thank you glass I am off to Chester le Street, but I find you people in the North East very hardy. My DIL went to work in deep snow and freezing temperatures dressed in a little frock and ballet flats! I might just pop one or two things in my case, just to be on the safe side.

vegas dont know where in the North East your coming but Newcastle is 2 top coats warmer than it was this time last week, you wont need jumpers, I have even taken my heavy coat off enjoy your trip.

I am sitting at my desk at work bloomin' well freezing. Heater on full blast and the sky is a kind of wishy washy grey/blue. The clouds are rolling in from the East. But never mind Its Friday, yipeeeeee
