Not that I have any experience of this type of thing but perhaps the next time you could say you are writing a letter to Santa to make sure they are on the naughty list! grin. Or you could always tie them up and lock them in the cellar (evil grin)

The grandsons (14 and 12) are staying over tonight. We've just enjoyed a Chinese takeaway and are now waiting for BGT to begin. They helped Grandpa with some jobs this afternoon before joining him to watch the FA cup final on telly. Sound like domestic bliss??? Flower's post reminds me of a few years ago when the older DGS would lay in wait for the younger one so he could aim a quick nudge, trip, shove - nothing nasty but enough to disrupt any peace and harmony we were hoping for. They grow up....eventually. smile

My two are 40 and 38 and still arguing. I'm afraid that in desperation I adopted a technique from my MIL (mum of 5) which involved slapping the nearest and saying to the other - Your turn next for the slap. Not proud of it, but not ashamed either.

They only do it to annoy
So beat him when he sneezes
With apologies to Alice and C L Dodson .

eating pie and mash at the moment and quiet wink They are lovely and very very boisterous hmm love them though.

I have never in my life known siblings to argue as much as they do. Another pair of my GC siblings do bicker and have been known to come to blows and they are male and female siblings.

The older one was sitting in the 'walkway' drawing his body and drawing pad took up the whole of the space and the little one had to tread on the pad as he walked by. The older one refused to move and the little one walked 'past' about 5 times before I stepped in and suggested he moved to a more sensible area. He reluctantly did, he just seemed to like the conflict. OH DEAR confused

Oh dear! At least there is light on the horizon in the potty area!!! Good luck - a little while with Grandma sounds like just what they need and wine wine sounds like what YOU need!

grin Good luck with that!!!

(I'm glad it's not only my little-er GS that does that "yeah yeah" and shrugging thing. hmm)

A PS to the potty saga, little DGS has used the potty 4 times without promting, I am hopeful.

I TAKE IT ALL BACK twice over, Gransnetters, re my thread SHOCKED!

I am shocked that I have survived these last 2 hours with the two boys sad

Firstly their mum said to the eldest (5 in June) " Now be good for grandma and grandpa" he replied " Yeah yeah yeah! Blah blah blah" I stood open mouthed and told him that I didn't want him to be rude to his mummy especially in grandmas house. He looked a little contrite but just shrugged!!!!

They then went on to tell me that the little one who was using his potty has decided to pee on the carpet, pee in his pot and then tip it on the floor or over his head. shock Also that he now wets the bed (no nappy brought or sheet for bed) will have to use a large bin bag.

They have argued for the past hour about anything and everything.

I have remained calm, on the outside, but am realising just how hard it is for their mum.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK! Its going to be a long long night.

again I TAKE IT ALL BACK - bring back the cane, paddle, locking in the cellar, whatever worked in the dark old days
