Good morning - the sun has got its hat on! Off to Horsham today, lunch with friends after a long break, then quick visit to daughter and family. Tongue might ache this evening. Enjoy your day everyone.

Good Morning, the sun has got his hat on here in Cambridgeshire too. Hope he keeps it on now for a very long time. Having a lazy weekend..... hope everyone else is too.

It is a beautiful morning and the Great Tit chicks flew from their nest in our bathroom vent pipe. It's very quiet in there now.

The sun is out the sky is blue it isn't raining YET! grin Off to a stately pile somewhere later. Still waiting for my new grandchild to put in an appearance.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning all!
Bags
I haven't seen any chicks yet, but the parents are raiding my bird feed hoppers and eating inches a day. They parked their chicks in the nearby wisteria as a safe hiding point to get to the feeder from.

I have spent a mornings with my camera on a tripod on the draining board to get the best shots through the kitchen window.

Its a lovely sunny day at last. I haven't been out yet to see how warm it is.

Good morning from a sunny Cardiff. Have yet to put nose out so unsure of temperature but it all looks lovely and bright. May take DD somewhere nice for a walk today - she is trying to increase her daily walking since her hysterectomy and i am sure would appreciate some different scenery.

It's a glorious start to the day here in Cheshire, I'm off to my exercise class in a while and this evening I'm going to the Halle.
My favourite Vaughan-Williams piece, The Lark Ascending, is on the programme and this is just the weather it conjures up. smile smile

Beautiful day again in Fife and the sea is calm as a millpond. I awoke at 5 - most unusual for me, went for a walk at 7 and bumped into a friend who couldn't believe her eyes. Saw Mr and Mrs Duck with their newly hatched chicks swimming in the burn which runs into the sea - so lovely. Will cut the grass later and then pack for my next trip........ sunshine

Sunshine at last! And that cold wind has subsided. The washing will soon be ready to go out and stands a chance of drying. sunshine

Hurray! A lovely sunny day and I am off to Southport for the day to join my children and all six grandchildren for fun on the beach. Great to have them all together! smile

annodomini Sat 25-May-13 09:46:28

Sounds great, when. There's a lot of beach there!

Good morning from a beautifully sunny North East coast. A little late start this morning as we were out celebrating my daughters birthday last night. Off. To lay some turf in her garden and finally it will be finished! Hope it's a lovely day wherever you are. smile

Mostly sunny here too and we are just off to Whitesands in Pembrokeshire to take in some sea air and I will go to the wonderful concerts in St Davids cathedral festival. Let us hope that the predicted rain from the west will sweep by us rapidly!

Blue sky and puffy white clouds here in Derbyshire [can't believe the difference since yesterday]. Having got the house to myself [for a while anyway] I'm washing, cleaning and doing general tidying up [and MUST avoid the pooter].

tattynan Sat 25-May-13 10:26:30

It's lovely and sunny here in Southport. Sitting in the garden relaxing with a coffee - bliss! Have a great bank holiday everyone x.

Gally Sat 25-May-13 10:36:06

Not chicks - ducklings! blush

Galen Sat 25-May-13 10:53:59

It's looking pretty good outside here in north Bucks ...shhhh, don't speak too loudly just in case...

GillieB Sat 25-May-13 11:21:25

Glorious here in Northumberland; in fact we sat in the garden for a mid morning drink and I actually got a little burnt! Think DD and DGC are coming round in a little while which will be lovely. DH is about to start strimming round the front garden so no doubt it will soon be a little noisy out there - and, of course, I ought to be out there doing something too, instead of sitting here at the laptop.

I hope everyone has a lovely day.

Good morning from a tip-top day in bonnie Kintyre. Warm sunshine. Gentle breeze. Lots of activity on the water. Parent blackbird feeding a huge fledgling with a gape as wide as a barn door. grin

harrigran Sat 25-May-13 11:35:37

Lovely day and I am going out for lunch, that should make the sun disappear grin

soop Sat 25-May-13 11:43:11

Enjoy your lunch, harri...we shall have ours sitting outside, overlooking the sea. And Rory will join us wink

Oldgreymare Sat 25-May-13 12:15:21

Envious of the Southport GNers, just where I would like to be (with DS and DNs).
Sunny here too (sunny Somerset) washing out. Still 'woozy' after waking up with a migraine. Methinks a walk will clear the head.

Good afternoon from a sunny, warm, but not quite picturesque Boston.
Soop, did you wave to the Help the Heroes folk yesterday? They cycled from Oban to Campbeltown, and are going to row from, I think, Southend, across to Ballycastle in N.Ireland. Brave people!
Tonight we`re off to our only granddaughter`s 21st party. We have 3 grandchildren with birthdays this weekend, one yesterday and 2 tomorrow!
