Morning everyone - looking slightly brighter here in Cardiff today - no let up at all with the heavy rain yesterday.

Glorious morning on the south coast, not sure how long it will last, as changeable is forecast, but making the most of it while I can. Enjoy your day(s)

It looks and feels like a real summer day here.

Morning Mick - where is Brackley? Sunny but with large black clouds here in Dorset. However, we can't always judge the weather accurately here due to the effect of Poole Bay. We can be surrounded by angry black clouds and sit in lovely sunshine - happens all the time.
Full excitement as for the first time my 4 year old GD is coming to stay with me for 2 nights. She is with her other Granny now for 2 nights then down to me. My daughter and I are taking her out for a 'day of fun' in Bournemouth on Friday.

An occasional glimpse of hazy blue sky in Cheshire. Very busy looking clouds though. At least it's brighter than yesterdays appalling gloom.

I don't hold out much hope for it staying dry though.

I must go out ASAP and rescue some plants I seem to have put in a plant pot without any holes in the bottom, or they will drown.

Blue sky is now covered by ominous clouds. I was woken at 3.35 this morning by a text coming in from some crook offering me a loan of £1000. Didn't say what the APR would be, of course. Luckily I'm good at going back to sleep.

It is raining in Northumberland and generally quite miserable. I have reverted back to winter trousers and a jumper!

Dorsetpenny - I think Brackley is in Oxfordshire. When I was first married we lived in Banbury and I worked for the General Hospital there - Brackley was on our "round" of hospitals. It is so long ago that there is probably not a hospital in Brackley any more!

Dull, grey and raining in the north east. I am going out to lunch with a friend and I am wearing winter trousers and my boots to keep my feet dry. It will be my summer holiday in three weeks and I haven't had any light clothes out of the wardrobe yet.

Overcast, with imminent rain, here in Manc. Have decided to redecorate the hall, stairs and landing, an immense job involving the removal of anaglypta, on the basis that we are in for another rotten summer. If we have weeks of unbroken sunshine, it will be all my fault. smile

Oldgreymare Wed 29-May-13 11:34:50

vegas I do hope your spell works!
Getting cloudier here (not so sunny Somerset)..... I was driven to write this yesterday:
Shaded skies,
A colourless shroud covers my world
Dull grey dulling my will.
(Suffering from late season S.A.D.)
But to prove I'm not always gloomy, came up with an alternative (only for the broad minded!)
Sod it! It's raining again,
Another bloody boring day
Doing buggar all.
(Suffering from a combination of S.A.D. and Tourette's!)
shock

Yay! Bags Proper summer has arrived in bonnie Kintyre. I've been busy with the camera. The garden looks lovely and I couldn't resist taking lots of photos. Rory managed to appear in a few wink. I shall upload a selection later.

OGM sunshine flowers and (hugs)

Oldgreymare Wed 29-May-13 12:28:09

Raining again in Derby. It's my day off but I have no desire to go anywhere or do anything. I'm sick of this weather sad.

dustyangel Wed 29-May-13 13:35:31

Yesterday was grey and gloomy. I put a cushion that I'd spot cleaned outside to dry. It rained. One soaked cushion. I sat inside adding clothes as I got colder, DH came home ,said "Why dont you put that cushion outside?" It had stopped raining and was 24(I checked)degrees! Still grey though.
The sun came through later and it was a beautiful evening.
This morning has been bright and sunny, breezy and not too hot. Next week, well I could be complaining about the heat or digging my vest out.
Have a good afternoon eneryone.
