Having spent most of this week in Addenbrooke's hospital with Mum, who has been admitted with a DVT at the top of her left leg, I was looking forward to a day catching up with housework and ironing. DH wanted to take DGS fishing so I packed them up with a lovely picnic and drove them to the lake.
I returned home to find that Peggy, the Jack Russell had managed to lock herself in the bathroom (she had jumped the gate in the kitchen doorway)
Trying to get out, she panicked and totally destroyed the bathroom door.
We were going to replace it anyway but not just yet!! The mess took nearly an hour to clean up as it was an old door with 'innards' that resembled egg boxes - who thought that up - Barry bloody Bucknell?
I'm now calming down with a cup of coffee. Peggy is hiding in her basket, looking very guilty.
On a good note, Mum is now back in her nursing home on heparin and warfarin and cheerfully enjoying all the extra attention.
Ain't life grand?
So…..what are we all up to on this beautiful sunny bank holiday? ☀️
Is there a toiletry you can no longer buy and miss?
