Rory now accepts a good two minutes grooming with his bristle brush...in place of in between meal snacks. grin

I think we all need to watch that programme tonight calked the secret life of cats. Then you could volunteer Rory to be part of the experiment and find out what he really does when your beady eye isn't on him.

Soop It sounds as if Rory has had a personality transplant.

Got the log burner going last night and am just about to empty the ashes so I can light it again this evening. I am so fed up of being cold.

soop grin When I read '.....goes potty' I took it as the twee American way of saying going to the loo - until I read the rest of the sentence blush

For Rory fans...NOPE he doesn't want to be on a diet. He objects in no uncertain terms when presented with 25% less food at each mealtime. He has a very portly tum. We encourage him to go on brisk walks around the garden. He gets as far as the door, turns around and leaves either one of us holding the door open. Every now and then he goes potty: thunders around the room, stops suddenly, lies back, yawns and after a thorough wash behind the ears, falls fast asleep. He also lurves to be groomed. Has his own wee bristle brush. Stands fast as I brush him and purrs like a lion...grin

It's been a lovely sunny day here but looks like the clouds are now rolling in from the West. Have been pottering in the garden - I swear as one weed is pulled up another takes its place immediately confused

Gagagran Thu 13-Jun-13 16:27:14

Is Rory on a diet of his own volition soop? Or is he suffering from excess avoirdupois after all the spoiling he received following his war wounds?

Galen Thu 13-Jun-13 16:25:44

Rory sad

annodomini Thu 13-Jun-13 16:22:40

Got a bit wet between the CAB office and the car park - because I had left my umbrella in the car, of course. blush

Aw, poor Rory!
It`s been dull here all day, now we`re having a thunderstorm, and the rain`s absolutely lashing down, our backyard looks like a small lake! I was waiting for the ice cream van, but am not going outside in this just for ice cream!

soop Thu 13-Jun-13 15:29:41

Good afternoon to you all. It's a day of mixed blessings...some sunshine and some rain. The wild yellow Iris are about to bloom and in our "wet garden", the gunnera is already well over 6' high.

Rory, the cat, is on a diet. grin

GillieB Thu 13-Jun-13 10:10:44

It rained heavily overnight - we thought we might possibly have a thunderstorm as it was very "heavy" yesterday. And "Ta Da" - Newcastle was the sunniest place in the UK for the second day running yesterday.

Today it is grey - I did chance putting out a load of washing, which was a mistake as we have now had rain and I had to dash to get it all in. Needless to say now the washing is in, it has stopped raining. hmm

Warm and dry and bright and breezy here this morning in Norfolk.
We are going to a funeral this morning at 11am, so are expecting to be blown across the flat Norfolk countryside!! All old churches in Norfolk are in the middle of nowhere, and the one which we are going to is no exception.

I had the heating on for a short while last night. I cannot wait for the rain and high winds expected around London. I have forgotten what sunshine looks like.
My neighbour's sister is in Iraq and it is a mere 45C there. Half of that T would do me nicely, maybe next year.

tanith Thu 13-Jun-13 09:35:55

Cloudy and drizzling here in London, jeans and jumper it is then... I did have a sneaky smile to myself as I checked the weather in Gib where my ever boasting sunny weather son lives, its foggy all day and tomorrow grin

Sunny and breezy and midgy and 11° in Argyll. Lovely day.

annodomini Thu 13-Jun-13 08:46:03

My joints tell me that the pressure has dropped and the grey sky confirms this.

Bez Thu 13-Jun-13 08:12:04

Good morning - Wet wet wet here in Cardiff - started yesterday late morning and has not stopped yet. Back to the jumpers!

Gally Thu 13-Jun-13 08:06:40

Lovely sunny morning here in Fife sunshine

PRINTMISS Thu 13-Jun-13 08:00:53

Good morning, windy and grey here. We put the heating on last night! It seems to be a little warmer, and the sun is trying it's best - but must do better. Enjoy you day.

Minder Thu 13-Jun-13 07:46:04

Good Morning. Windy with very grey clouds dashing past.
