Are our views always entrenched?

I avoid watching programmes like that Greatnan, just reading your description of the tiny path in China makes me feel week at the knees.

I should make it clear that the 17-point turn did not happen in my presence so there is no independent verification.

Bags I have no idea about the others but even the thought of any vaguely winding or rising and falling transport makes me feel very sick. No one was happier than me when they opened the tunnel to France.

Merlot - I wanted to see if I had beaten my previous record - I had!

Notso - I watched those programmes about the world's most dangerous roads, although it did make me feel a bit queasy! I thought that nobody could have died or they wouldn't have shown the programme! Did you see the one about the mountain in China with a tiny path clinging round it - that really made me feel weak at the knees - literally.

It's true, I was never scared on the Alpine roads - Greatnan really is a good driver and that isn't flattery!

I was joking, of course, Anno was a perfect passenger on all the mountain roads, even when the track descended into broken bricks and tree roots. She knows I like to tease her - but she still keeps coming back and I look forward to her visits immensely.

Turinng sick and dizzy when looking down from a height is not wimpyness - it is a bodily vertigo reaction to the mismatch of images reaching the brain from each eye when you move even the tiniest bit. A kind of motion sickness.

Anno is not really a wimp - some people have naturally white knuckles.
