Nuisance phone calls

These "silent calls" are a menace and I can imagine that they alarm elderly people especially if on their own. I can only suggest you turn your phone down or off overnight and ask any elderly relatives to use your mobile number which will display who is calling. Either that or caller display on your landline. Doesn't stop the phone waking you up though.

I had a silent call on my mobile phone at about 4am a few months ago.
No number was displayed.
Also I noticed by the record on my mobile phone a while ago somebody called ay 3am and I did not hear the phone.
I do have an answerphone but it does not stop calls coming in during the night.
I do have elderly relatives who may need me in the night.

We've hd so many of these calls lately we've got an answerphone and just pick it up for people we know. It's worked like a dream so far

Or take the phone off the hook overnight . Any emergency calls can come in your mobile .

its from a foreign country, Frank. Not sure that there is much you can do about it unless your phone company will block a specific number.

There is a website that might tell you, Frank,. Google - Who called me!
