Does anyone remember the film "Mr Smith goes to Washington" a lovely idealistic film about corruption in American politics. James Stewart, playing Mr Smith, is made a junior senator and expected to be a stooge, but he is naive and honest and at the end he stages a 24 hour filibuster.

I think she is terrific. She has, as they say, pulled her self up by her boot straps. Anybody like that deserves respect.
