What has deserving got to do with anything? Plenty of unlucky people don't get even what's reasonable, never mind what they deserve for hard work.

Enjoy your good luck, absent! Oh, and be proud of your organisational skills too.

Pleased for you smile

So glad everything is falling into place for you. When will your furniture arrive? Soon, I hope and then you can be properly settled. smile

Delighted for you absent. Knock that 'non-deserving' bit on the head. smile

Sounds just right absent - enjoy wine

That sounds absolutely ideal, and as for deserving it.........you've worked very hard to get there and it's fantastic for all of you!

Of course you deserve it! It sounds ideal and I am very envious of you being so close to the grandchildren, mine are 3 hours away. But right now I have a small bundle of fluff (our new retreiver puppy) asleep across my foot, so all feels pretty right with my world too.

Don't deserve it! Are you mad, woman?? Nobody deserves it more. You have taken a huge leap in the dark and gone, literally, half- way round the world to be helpful to your family. It took a lot of courage for you both and I am so glad that it has worked out well (I won't say 'I told you so....' but....). [sun]

Today I have signed the documents to rent an unfurnished house for the next couple of years. It has a room that will be a perfect study/office for me when I am working, a large/lounge diner that is very light and airy, an okay kitchen (I have plans) plus a spare bedroom where grandchildren can have sleepovers. But that is not all. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the primary school that three grandchildren attend, about 7 minutes walk from the little one's nursery (I pick them up on foot on Mondays and Fridays) and 5 minutes from the shopping area. How good is that?

Nice carpets, nice curtains and neutral decoration, plus a garden where I can grow veggies, as well as looking after the established plants and a lawn where the children can play.

Isn't it good when you fall on your feet - even if you don't deserve it?
