Can I be the first to predict the name? I think they will go with traditional.
Alice for a girl.
George for a boy.

Hope it's nothing to do with Alexander Armstrong....or "Zarnder" as his BBC cronies keep calling him hmm.

The Louis will be for Louis Mountbatten. Obviously George for the old (well, not old) king. But Alexander? Is that just choice? (very nice though)

grumppa Wed 24-Jul-13 18:33:51

Louis eh? Time to reassert England's claim to the French throne, perhaps.

Grannyeggs Wed 24-Jul-13 18:33:49

My nephews are George and Alexander. I like it.

Nelliemoser Wed 24-Jul-13 18:32:21

It's just flashed up in the corner of my screen. I think its a really good choice. They copied Alexander from my DGS's second name.

merlotgran Wed 24-Jul-13 18:20:32

It's George Alexander Louis.

Faye Wed 24-Jul-13 14:08:29

I like Louis and Alexander. I doubt they will use a name that has already been used by their relatives.

Prince Al

Aloysius

Diana's father was Edward John Spencer wasn't he? So Edward somewhere is a distinct possibility, and perhaps even John? Philip? James?

JessM Wed 24-Jul-13 06:28:44

LLewellyn. Might go a teeny way to atone for behaviour of Edward 1 etc. And he'll be P of Wales one day.

Mamie Wed 24-Jul-13 05:53:06

I wonder about Henry. I know Harry is Henry, but there are a quite a few Henrys around that are not called Harry. Richard is possible I suppose, but not fashionable at the moment and I would have thought they would avoid any danger of Dick. I still think Edward's son James makes that name unlikely so I expect it will be George, though I think that is the name of the Duke of Kent's son. I think Louis is unlikely, they are French kings!

Nelliemoser Tue 23-Jul-13 22:54:17

George, Richard. I like the name Arthur. Thomas? Alexander?

Stansgran Tue 23-Jul-13 21:23:16

Grandfather is Charles . (Think Charlie Brown as a connection) then Linus was a Brit ? Son of King Caractacus and friend of St
Peter I think. Good name in my opinion

Stansgran Tue 23-Jul-13 21:19:39

Linus

merlotgran Tue 23-Jul-13 20:19:41

Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret's daughter, has a son called Arthur.

Nonu Tue 23-Jul-13 20:14:44

Albert ??? smile

specki4eyes Tue 23-Jul-13 20:10:37

Has anyone mentioned Richard? Beautiful name, but shame about the connotations attached to the old fashioned short form, which could be a reason not to use it..so cruel.

I heard years ago that Charles plans to be King George.

Please not Arthur! sorry to all the arthurs but its so old..a pal of mine has a grandson Stanley and she hates that - same reason.

annodomini Tue 23-Jul-13 16:47:04

James would take him back to the royals' Stewart ancestors - as does Charles, of course.

Ella46 Tue 23-Jul-13 16:30:10

I do hope they stick Michael in there somewhere though.

Gally Tue 23-Jul-13 16:16:29

I'm sticking with Frederick or George - or perhaps Arthur. Not had an Arthur for quite a long time...

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:53:33

Arthur,

kittylester Tue 23-Jul-13 15:35:03

I don't think it will be James first - can't have a future king named after an air hostess's son.
