Ariadne

You are supporting an equally good charity to CRUK which I support.
No one person can help everything.

As part of my work with the Breast Cancer Campaign, I met Linda Nolan (a great supporter) last year. She was a very moving speaker as she talked about herself and her sisters and their struggle with BC, and, on their behalf, is a passionate and committed person to have on board.

It was Bernie's second round of BC to which she finally succumbed.

Many of us on GN have had BC and other forms of cancer, and, as Flickety says, have learnt about "Carpe diem"!

Frank, I know what you mean, Best friend died at 64, and another close friend has just been diagnosed with Liver cancer and I am not (quite) 70.

Carpe diem (or is that another thread?)

It's very sad Frank.

Well done you for helping with Race for Life.

I met shook hands and had a brief conversation with Bernie become she became famous.
Even I was reasonably young then.
I help with Race for Life and it is just frightening to see how many people were born years after me have now passed away.
