When do children go to school these days?.

I was out at 10.30 this morning and I saw about 20 children at a bus stop and the school they were going to was about 3 miles away.
On Friday I saw a group about the same size from the same school at 2.40pm in the same area.
I know when I was at school there were always the odd pupil going to hospitals etc but not that sort of number at one time.
What I can not understand is I took my granddaughter for a check up about a month after Christmas at a private hospital and the school was not happy as she did not get in till 9.40am.
She had the main operation during the school Christmas holidays and if that had been in term time I think she would have lost 2 or 3 days schooling.

All I can say is Andie barks when somebody comes on to the drive and people say he has a very loud heavy bark for a little dog.
A few people have said they expected a bigger dog to be there.
I think a burglar would leave before he gets in to the house.
All my external doors have 9 point locking and my windows are similar so a lot of noise would be created if somebody tried to get in.
When Andie is away the alarm is set.
There is also a dog in every other house in the road so hopefully a burglar would think it is too risky to break in to any of the houses.
He does bark when my daughters and grandchildren come on to the drive but stops and wags his tail when they get within about 6 foot of the door.

July is an odd month in my son's school... exams, trips, sports days, teacher training, fetes, non-uniform, end of term parties and shows...... school starts and ends at a different time each day.

Poor Frank - all those lazy no-good layabouts who didn't contribute to a pension just living it up on his taxes! And so many people needing his help about inheritance, payment for care, and house transfer. I really feel for him. I won't say what I feel!
