Banter Bar 2

Saturday.....Beer and Football in the games room.....

pete I hope you found your snack's for watching the match I left you a meat & potato pie some pickles and a yummy scotch egg for half timeI know how much you love your food.
I've been busy the last couple of day's so hope you have looked in on the "firemen" they have been using the cellar as a training gym I will check on their fitness to-morrow when I have an hour or two to spare. The footie is finished now I think your team won ?? I can't get away from footie at the minute as for some reason I have been volunteered to go and watch junior league to-morrow and support DGS no.5 and the field is like a mud bath at the minute so finger's crossed it is cancelled.see you soon for a nice brandy & coke and a relaxing feet up job.

Nice one glam !

You will enjoy the junior league...just avoid the touch-line punch ups!! The players are well behaved ...its the adults that get 'over excited'

Think the firemen could do with a work out.....I'll leave it with you............

pete ahh !! match cancelled due to high winds etc, that was a close one, I have had the pleasure of the touch-line managers they all seem to be big overweight dad's with big overweight mouth's does that sound normal to you

Yes Glam ....
Screaming at the kids until they become too frightened to try anything natural. Usually wearing tracksuits and boots!! and having gained a lifetime of football knowledge from Match of the Day!

Think Ana n Ella have taken the firemen with them..

No! Ella ran off with all of them and pinched my best feather boa as well! I am devastated and need a pint of Cherry B to restore me...and a bowl of cereal.

Missing my oats as well...

Pint of Cherry B...with a cherry coming up!

Another log on the fire.........any chance of an indian summer on the cards.....or is that it for the next eight months?!

Ana I have a spare feather boa you are most welcome to,I had it on last week for the "Hen Party" along with a pink glitter cow-boy hat oh and a bag full of candy sweets which resembles parts of the male anatomy I really woudn't like to comment on (me being a laydee an all ) but if you can make use of them you are welcome

Think that's it Pete - it's throwing it down out there and I've had to get me thermals out of mothballs!

Thanks for the boa, glamma - think I'll pass on the candies, no good with my teeth, and Pete would look very fetching in that hat!

I think the hat may have seen better days now,it looks surprisingly short on glitter (a wee bit bald in fact) might have been when I was on the floor doing that daft boating song and I did share the wearing of it with a few "gentlemen" that I met that night (the memory fails me somewhat though)

so even the hat has lost it's sparkle! I could raffle the candies in the snug or use them as Bingo prizes...... Waste not....

Bingo !! nice one pete I have some Bingo markers somewhere all with funny faces on the end of them (adds to the enjoyment) I think they are Coronation Street characters,I'll be Bet Lynch the blonde barmaid with the big earrings but I don't look good in leopard skin

Crikey, how old are those Bingo markers, glamma?

Thinking they may have been my mum's. or possibly my nanna's

Have you still got an Annie Walker one? Ana......

Pete we could have re-runs of Corrie when the Footie is not on the TV it would be a laugh trying to remember all the old names we could maybe set up a sort of "snug" for us "Ladyee's" where men are barred (except of course The Firemen ) health & safety you know

The 'snug' is already in place for Laydees to do their own thing Glam.

Feel free to use it as you wish! If you only want Firemen in there that's ok...but I do allow Laydees in the games room when the football is on....handy if they're carrying the pies in at half-time!

Message deleted??.....we must have had a stray drunk in the night!!

Pete maybe they asked for credit and it was politely refused fancy me not knowing we already had a "snug" I'll sort out a couple of waitress's for you and your pals for match day.

glamma you're not doing The Sisterhood any favours here, stop waiting on Pete hand and foot! Put your feet up, hand over that pinny to one of the Firemen and have a treble brandy - it's a bit parky out there this evening.

Keep your nose out Ana .........

Glam is well taken care of for her troubles

The Sisterhood hold meetings in the village phone box btw....

Where's that MCP tie someone gave my ex several years ago...? I've just found a good home for it - around your neck, Pete!
