Frank I seem to remember that several GNers, myself included, congratulated you when your granddaughter was born.
Surely you can feel pleased for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, just as fellow human beings, that their child has been safely delivered?

Galen Mon 22-Jul-13 22:23:57

Quite!

Stansgran Mon 22-Jul-13 22:28:13

I suppose it is true not all the country will celebrate today's news, most I would suspect will not give it a second thought when they wake in the morning. People have their lives to live, some hard completed lives at that, but I really believe that they would not begrudge any feelings of joy and excitement that some members of the public feel about the birth of this new baby prince.
Every baby that is born safe and healthy is cause for celebration because sadly that is not always the case.
If you have no interest in the royal birth why start a thread about it. ?

janeainsworth Mon 22-Jul-13 22:41:17

Yes! that's exactly how I have pictured you j08 grin

It's lovely. Just wish the media would calm down though. Talking to someone in Chicago today, he was excited. I think we forget that in a short time Kate has become a global celebrity, just like Diana. It's a positive for the country in an unquantifiable way, just like the Olympics. Oh and we won Wimbledon, the Rugby, the cricket and Tour de France. Crikey crowncrown

Any comments about bread and circuses will be disallowed grin

j08 there's a reason some of us aren't blue isn't there? wink

Nelliemoser Mon 22-Jul-13 23:06:25

Oh this fuss is stupid. A young couple have had a baby boy. Congratulations. I am glad all are safe and well. End of.

Aka Mon 22-Jul-13 23:31:32

Been out, not seen the news. I heard it first on GN! moon

Oh, they always do that. When Australia won some important yacht race, they talked about 'the night Australia didn't sleep'. Yeah, right. Our indifference to rich men indulging themselves was supreme.

When any of my relatives are in a private hospital the visitors buy their food in the staff / visitors canteen as it is only about half the price of having it delivered to the patients room.
I hope William did that to save money.
