I arranged to go on a walk with friends in the park this afternoon and we will have a cup of tea in a cafe if it does not rain.
There will be at least 2 dogs.

You could try clotted cream instead? grin

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 10:13:44

Well, they're low fat aren't they GM? grin Shame the butter's not.

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 10:11:40

I might try that one after hol anno. Not getting far with just cutting down daily.

Thanks Bags.

Scones as a diet food? I like the sound of that one.

annodomini Wed 24-Jul-13 10:08:38

That depends on the diet, JO. If you do the 5:2 diet you can have your scone on your 'days off'. grin I'm planning a toasted teacake with a friend this afternoon. (rubs tum in anticipation)

Bags Wed 24-Jul-13 09:46:31

Must be a big scone.

Bags Wed 24-Jul-13 09:45:54

Enjoy your walk smile

Trying to lose a pound or two ahead of holiday Bags. (not doing too well)

Did anyone know there are about 450 calories in a M & S scone with butter?! I've always thought scones were good diet foods.

I find that if I don't walk, or at least cycle, depression starts to creep in. Walking is invaluable as you get a bit older.

Tea without cake is an abomination, jings. How could you?

Bags Wed 24-Jul-13 09:42:38

That'll be it.mOxygen doesn't seem to be getting anywhere esle either today [floppygranny]

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 09:42:08

At last it's cooler and fresher here, so I might consider a walk into town. Have been worrying that all my hard won fitness must be going out the window! Time to get moving again! smile

If tea is involved, I will endeavour to resist cake!

annodomini Wed 24-Jul-13 09:41:15

Oxygen not getting through to the brain, Bags?

Bags Wed 24-Jul-13 09:37:19

What is yawning in the morning a sign of?

gracesmum Wed 24-Jul-13 09:26:52

Uncontentious? Maybe. Pointless? Definitely.

FlicketyB Tue 23-Jul-13 15:38:04

Gerry, a nice uncontentious post. Where I am, walking anywhere is hard work. I have just gone up and down the garden four times with barrows of gravel and needed a shower to cool down

kittylester Tue 23-Jul-13 15:33:23

I've just created a 'cleaning schedule' for DH's work space. Well, I was chuffed about it! grin

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:30:32

I would have lain awake all night wondering what the variety was if you hadn't said.
Thank you so much for telling me.smile

vegasmags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:27:46

I haven't been for a walk today but I have just eaten a very nice pear. It was a Packham's pear, for those of you who are dying to know.

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:23:24

Take it easy old thing. The heat and Frank are getting to you. I te commend valerian and St. John's wort!

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:18:19

FAGAG! not gagag. Oh god! I can't cope.

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:17:32

Check out matson's GAGAG thread!

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:16:22

Should we open a new thread on this topic, thereby splitting it up into advantageous (to us) factions?

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:13:14

I think they should, galen. What could be more suitable?
