I arranged to go on a walk with friends in the park this afternoon and we will have a cup of tea in a cafe if it does not rain.
There will be at least 2 dogs.

Tea, in a café? How common!

I hope your dog likes Frank's dog.

I don't have a dog at the moment but I will get one when I come back from holiday.
I live about 30 miles from Sutton Coldfield.

Spooky! grin

With all due respect, isn't this getting a bit like Facebook where people feel the need to share riveting titbits of information about what thy are having for tea, that it is hot/sunny/raining/or none of the above? But hey gerry if you're starting a trend, I am NOT off on a walk soon.
Anybody else?

sunseeker Tue 23-Jul-13 14:59:24

I'm not going for a walk either but I am about to put the kettle on grin

gracesmum Tue 23-Jul-13 15:01:27

Oh, let me know how you get on Sunseeker I might do that too. Have you told gerry?

KatyK Tue 23-Jul-13 15:01:40

Walked to Aldi this morning! It was SO exciting I thought I should share it.

I'm drinking a cup of tea and eating a cheese sandwich. Peering at moss through a microscope is very hungry-making, I find.

I haven't told you about the GIANT spider that appeared on the petri dish yet.

I'll save that for another time.

Wouldn't want to cause overload.

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:06:34

Was it an eight foot one?[expression of intense curiosity ]

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:08:00

Yes! And it had white hairs sticking out of its body.

DD came to look at it.

I'm calling it Gerry.

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:10:44

That's a lovely name for a spider Bags

Gorki Tue 23-Jul-13 15:11:21

Ouch!

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:11:21

Do you think they'll name the new prince after it?

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:12:41

And because it meandered on its moss a bit its second name is Meandering without the first e. Thus Gerry Mandering.

KatyK Tue 23-Jul-13 15:13:08

grin

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:13:14

I think they should, galen. What could be more suitable?

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:16:22

Should we open a new thread on this topic, thereby splitting it up into advantageous (to us) factions?

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:17:32

Check out matson's GAGAG thread!

Bags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:18:19

FAGAG! not gagag. Oh god! I can't cope.

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:23:24

Take it easy old thing. The heat and Frank are getting to you. I te commend valerian and St. John's wort!

vegasmags Tue 23-Jul-13 15:27:46

I haven't been for a walk today but I have just eaten a very nice pear. It was a Packham's pear, for those of you who are dying to know.

Galen Tue 23-Jul-13 15:30:32

I would have lain awake all night wondering what the variety was if you hadn't said.
Thank you so much for telling me.smile
