Just back from a lovely day down at Culzean Castle to celebrate DH's 65th Birthday. Lovely sunny day until about 3 pm when the heavens opened. Out for dinner so no cooking for me today, whoo hoo!

Oh when I've had one of those! And her replacement is lovely too. DS2 just hasn't made an honest woman of her yet!

Ooh, it's turning into a happy day! My son and partner have just phoned to say they are engaged. After they put the baby to bed last night, she says he was following her round like a puppy dog, then as he was about to get down on one knee the phone rang, so he picked the children's toys up instead and waited for the right moment. When the time came, she burst into laughter and says he was trying to calm her down so she could get the 'yes' out! Lovely - she's a great girl!

Sunny again here - yesterday was a bit cooler and last night was better. Had unexpected visitors yesterday just as scones were in the oven - one lot were a tad overdone - just short of burnt - DH valiantly ate some of them but i did do another batch to replace them for the cricket tea.

Good morning from the North East coast. Very warm again today but looking cloudy and think we will have a downpour later, much like yesterday. Mum having her operation this morning so off to see to grandma, then work, then hospital .......phew.... Have a good day everyone.
