In Ashbourne Derbyshire it is sunny at present but the clouds seem to be building up for the predicted rain. It will be more shower and thunderstorm dodging today.

I have just looked South out of the other window! Clouds are building up rapidly.

Good morning from the North East coast. Very warm again today but looking cloudy and think we will have a downpour later, much like yesterday. Mum having her operation this morning so off to see to grandma, then work, then hospital .......phew.... Have a good day everyone.

Sunny again here - yesterday was a bit cooler and last night was better. Had unexpected visitors yesterday just as scones were in the oven - one lot were a tad overdone - just short of burnt - DH valiantly ate some of them but i did do another batch to replace them for the cricket tea.

Ooh, it's turning into a happy day! My son and partner have just phoned to say they are engaged. After they put the baby to bed last night, she says he was following her round like a puppy dog, then as he was about to get down on one knee the phone rang, so he picked the children's toys up instead and waited for the right moment. When the time came, she burst into laughter and says he was trying to calm her down so she could get the 'yes' out! Lovely - she's a great girl!

Dull and wet in London but not cold. Apparently the stifling heat and sun is returning later this week.

Just had quite a shower, which is annoying as I'd just put a second load on to wash.
