Broomsticks, chariots, flying cars at the ready ladies!
We haven't had a 'virtual' party for ages!
I'm suffering from vodka jelly and wacky baccky withdrawal!
Suggestion:- top of Snowdon on Friday or Saturday evening!
Gentlemen and cat/dogs very welcome.
Dress, welsh of course!
Any other ideas?

Nose powdered raring to go. Damn just heard a cork popping in the kitchen, well he needn't think that will get round me.

Nelliemoser Sat 03-Aug-13 19:21:27

If I am traveling by astral projection I ought to look the part and wear a lot of diaphanous veils. That might be bit chilly on the top of Snowdon.
I am not sure what state the beer in the Party 7 will be by the time I arrive explosive I guess with all the shaking about.
I have taken the red light bulb out of the mock coals on the electric fire and put it in the light socket. How cool is that?

Will do, vegas. Just watch you don't singe the magic carpet - next door are having a barbecue!

vegasmags Sat 03-Aug-13 18:44:53

That sounds very fetching when. I'm staying with the oriental theme as befits the magic carpet - harem pants, turban, and a fetching top. I keep falling over those turned up slippers, but you can't have everything.
Just thought - it will be light when I'm hovering over yours, so the torch isn't going to do it. Could you go the end of your garden and wave a couple of tea towels, please grin

whenim64 Sat 03-Aug-13 18:34:34

I've just tried my outfit on and it's not me! It makes my bum look big - it is, but that's beside the point! grin What to wear? Hmm hmm - think I'll wear my flying jacket, white scarf with wires, and Biggles goggles! That's better!

whenim64 Sat 03-Aug-13 18:29:24

grin merlot

merlotgran Sat 03-Aug-13 18:21:07

Broomstick is threadbare so DH is lending me his ride on mower. He's been building a take-off ramp all afternoon.

LizG Sat 03-Aug-13 18:14:36

We got some Pastis when on holiday so I'll send that along. HE won't even notice it is missing.

vegasmags Sat 03-Aug-13 18:13:11

I'm starting to feel really hungry now not to mention thirsty. Think I'd better have something to line my stomach - mmm couple of pork pies and a pint of milk should do it.

merlotgran Sat 03-Aug-13 18:12:27

I was going to bring some borage for the Pimms but we're looking after DD's Jack Russell this week and he's just cocked his leg on it.

I'll just have to bring the Pimms then grin

glammanana Sat 03-Aug-13 17:58:41

Just found some bottles of Snowballs and some CherryB to set the theme they where going cheap in the £ shop I could bring some homebrew but I do think we are all a bit too ladylike for that hmm

Ariadne Sat 03-Aug-13 17:51:07

vegas my favourite too! Can I lie sit next to you? Am bringing raspberry liqueur to put into white wine / vodka / champagne / cava...and some veggie nibbles for those of us who'll still need something to soak up go with the drink.

Bit of a problem with the helicopter and the whirly clothes line at the moment..

whenim64 Sat 03-Aug-13 17:44:38

You and me vegas, champagne and ice cream on the journey there! grin

I've got 2 dozen prawn cocktails to complement the retro theme, in plastic dishes so they'll survive the journey. Shall I bring some vol au vents? I'll bung 'em in the oven now, just in case.

It looks like anno is still away. Shame she'll miss it sad

glammanana Sat 03-Aug-13 17:38:07

I've just arrived home from work and made sure all the Vodka Jellies are set,I 've put in some Rum & Raisin Ice Cream (heavy on the Rum ) and my Ice Box is all set with the little blue block thingies to keep everything cold, when I forgot about that "Officer" I hope he's not on duty to-night he will think I am stalking him grinJust got to pop into the garage and top up on the fuel I have a reserve tank just in case caught short grin

vegasmags Sat 03-Aug-13 17:30:16

I love cheese and pineapple too! My current fave tho is salted caramel ice cream, so I'll bring buckets of that.

Nelliemoser Sat 03-Aug-13 17:27:37

I was going to be really irritatingly self righteous and walk up Snowdon from the car park at the pass but all joints are creaking too much and I am tired out after a good weeks holiday.

Instead of walking I am going to get there by Astral projection. If I fall fast asleep by the summit trig point just party around me.

Are the custard tarts for eating or throwing? and Please can we have cheese and pineapple or cheese and pickled onions on sticks. I like those retro party foods. I will bring a party seven or two.

Nonu Sat 03-Aug-13 17:25:48

Give Galen at least a glass , as after all it is CRISTAL < the one the Footballers drink . Only the best is good enough for ya"ll. You tinker , Laugh !!!

whenim64 Sat 03-Aug-13 17:20:18

Shall I look after the champagne, then? I'm blowed if Galen is getting her mitts on all the drink! grin

Nonu Sat 03-Aug-13 17:13:19

I can"t either , having prawns ! so I will send a dozen bottles of champagne , I know you all like it !!

smile

dustyangel Sat 03-Aug-13 17:12:39

grin

LizG Sat 03-Aug-13 17:11:50

Had a bit of a row with the OH so not sure if I can sneak out without any questions being asked. If I am not able to get along (will try transporting and he may not notice) have a brilliant time and have one (or 61) on me wine

Galen Sat 03-Aug-13 17:09:11

NO! I will.

whenim64 Sat 03-Aug-13 16:59:30

Thanks, dustyangel. (innocent face) shall I look after the port? grin

dustyangel Sat 03-Aug-13 16:57:33

I can't come to the party so I'm sending you a case of port. The broomstick will be in use so I've put it on the flap down dust pan. It's a continental long handled model so quite fast. Should arrive safely, I've cushioned it with a box of custard tarts.
There are 6 bottles in the case, are there more than 6 of you going?
I'll catch up with you tomorrow. Have fun.

celtic did that sort of thing once with my boat when engine packed in and no wind. 1x 80hp boat on either side with our yacht in the middle. Zoomed up the Alderney race at slack water!
