Nellie I was holding a drink! Priorities and all that. grin

It was the Twenty Twenty quarter finals which Notts looked to be walking until about the 7/8th over! The meal was good though - just steak, salad and chips but nicely done!

Good to decide something biker - but have you decided what happens after? flowers

The grey clouds have cleared and the sun is shining, so hopefully it will stay fine for the Ashes Test match at Chester-le-Street. DH has gone off on his bike again and I will be meeting DD after lunch for some therapeutic shopping. Such a joy to be able to shop for clothes again after I have lost all this weight. DH even commented on my bottom this morning and said it looked good!

Sook - I know where you're coming from with the DH involvement! My ex used to expect a lovely home cooked meal after I had spent a day decorating, usually at his former home which he was trying to sell! He would then offer helpful 'suggestions' as to how I might have done things differently. I'm sure your DH is a lovely man, but DIY is much easier when there is only one person involved. grin

After a deluge during the night, it's now dull but warmish. I need the sun to come out as I am slipping into gloominess.
Must cheer up! smile

vegasmags you are an inspiration! I have to start stripping my lounge walls soon. I suspect that one of the walls will need re plastering, but I am loathe to have it done as I would really like to knock the wall down and have bi folding doors into the dining room. I just know that DH will get involved and the job won't be straightforward. Visions of a gaping hole and plaster dust for a possible 12/18 months ( that is being optimistic) fill me with horror.

Good morning everyone, grey skies here on the Moray Firth, not sure whether its a bit of a HAA or rainclouds. Today I will take delivery of my new cooker, with a gas fan oven, anyone have any experience of this type of oven. Off for my daily walk, 8k, so I can listen to women's hour Have a good day everyone. sunshine

From time to time Sook I do fall into an exhausted slumber, usually on the sofa when I have just sat down to watch TV grin

Sook Fri 09-Aug-13 08:36:25

vegasmags do you ever sit still ? grin

vegasmags Fri 09-Aug-13 08:30:49

Overcast and cool here, but apparently will brighten up later. Thank heavens I have finished stripping off all the anaglypta and the plasterer is now booked in for the week after next. Burning all the old paint off will seem like relaxation. grin

Good morning everyone. Dull here so far but we are due to have sun as well as some cloud today and temp up to 26 deg. Enjoy your day.

Good morning we had rain overnight, it is cool and breezy at the moment. Today is my DGS second birthday, his cake is iced I am quite pleased with my efforts so far. He is mad about aeroplanes at the moment. DS has aspirations that his tiny son will grow up to be a pilot smile.

DH is off to the Dermatology clinic again after turning up 24 hours early for it yesterday he is usually late for everything. grin

Good moring all, grey and chilly here, but promise of better to come. Glad you enjoyed the cricket Kitty, take care of that knee, make sure you rest it well. Enjoy your days everyone.

Talk about "getting in on the action" kittylester ! shock

Nelliemoser Fri 09-Aug-13 07:20:56

You mean you didn't catch it! KittyL? Shame on you!

Is that the ladies test match?

kittylester Fri 09-Aug-13 07:10:46

Grey here too gillybob but the forecast is better later on. Yesterday we went to Trent Bridge to watch the cricket. It was very enjoyable until I was hit on my knee by a ball, literally hit for 6, so I am going to use that as an excuse to 'rest' grin. The bruise is developing nicely!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day. sunshine
