60th birthday gift

Usually when people ask me what I want for my birthday I suggest that they make some sort of charitable offering ( toilet twinning is my current favourite ), but with my 60th coming up my family want to buy ME something and keep on at me to give them a list of things to choose from. I'm sure at any other time of the year I could think of something I'd like, but right now I'm stuck for ideas. My husband is buying me the dresser I've been dreaming of for 20 years (yippee!) and apart from that I don't really have any hankerings - so I'm looking for inspiration and wondered what gifts you would ask for in my place? Price range £10 - £100.

Twice as nice your day sounds so lovely and thoughtful ! One of my favourite presents when I was 40 was a barometer. I always wanted one and I look at it every day when I leave the house. It is very accurate at predicting the weather toosmile

How about a professional photograph of the whole family? Or a piece of jewellery? Experience days have been very successful with my husband - falconry and organ playing in Gloucester Cathedral. Membership of the NT or a subscription to a magazine?
I received an easel and paints from my children on my 60th and taking up painting has changed my life

OOOh timely question.

My 60th is in Sept . Im throwing myself a 50+10 party ( because I am the party thrower in this family - although DH did throw me a surprise party for my 50th !)

I don't really expect any presents because everyone will come and that's a cost in itself as we are far flung.

What I'd really like is a night in a hotel , the night of the party and to come back after breakfast and find my house is clean and tidied and all back together smile

NEVER going to happen !!!

My gift from my 3 sons on my 60th was a framed collage of photos of me from childhood, and including my DS's, DGD, siblings and nieces and nephews, also some photos of my late parents. It hangs in the living room where I answer it every day.
We also had a fantastic holiday in Barbados, with a personal guided tour of the island on the actual day.
A birthday to remember.

I would definitely have loved a professional family photo of both my families. Maybe if I get to 70 it might happen smile
