Okay!!! The messages from so many lovely people have gone to my heart. My head has been over-ruled.

soop's kitchen is a cosy place. You lot are invited to drop in for a wee chat on whatever matter moves you.

Rory welcomes you with a purr. xxx

Soop, love the pics (as ever)
Do your shoes really match your skirt? smile

Gagagran Thu 26-Sept-13 19:12:39

Nellie I hope to goodness it was the parkin - my parking leaves something to be desired! grin

Lona Thu 26-Sept-13 22:37:57

Yes, I love the matching shoes soop smile

soop Fri 27-Sept-13 14:23:27

Hello yet again. Yes, the shoes do match the skirt. Clever of you to notice. How cooel is that wink I purchased the skirt on ebay late last year. The shoes [worn just once] were on ebay about a month ago. They have a very upmarket label and I "won" them for £10 which included postage. Brilliant bargain, I think. Ebay really is a good place to find something a little different.

I'm uploading three new pics. Should be able to locate them [even though they never seem to go to the top of the crop confused

We've been Tesco-ing. Frightened myself when we passed a car in which I thought I saw Marelli Had I confused the date of her visit...NO! It really is tomorrow. Thank goodness. If I had messed-up, I would have been mortified. Mr soop will take a photo tomorrow. I shall share it with you.

It's a day of low mist, which is slowly clearing. There is no view of the Papa of Jura, but by this time tomorrow, they may appear to welcome Marelli and Mr Twinkle Toes. grin

Oh Nelliemoser I am so sorry I keep missing things and you are being so kind. So far we are doing four pieces and the practise files have been put on the chorale society's website. I haven't got around to checking yet but was beginning to get a bit more confidence at our last practise; less mouthing and more actual singing grin. I have taken a note of the links you have given me and will have a look at those too so many thanks.

Tomorrow we are off to my Godson's wedding and am not happy with my outfit. How I wish I didn't eat so much cake cupcake i blame the delicious aromas which emanate from this kitchen.

soop Sat 28-Sept-13 08:57:17

Have a happy Godson's wedding day, LizG. I hope that the sun shines for you.
We're expecting MR and MRs "Twinkle Toes" to call in at lunchtime. So I've only time for a quick coffee. A little later I shall share a pic with you.
It's a little overcast but the sun appears to be trying to make an entrance.
Bye for now. smile

tiggypiro Sat 28-Sept-13 18:50:06

I made a Bramble crumble for you to share but after a day in the garden digging up convonvulus I have just eaten it all. Sorry folks !
Not very polite of me to come into your kitchen Soop without an offering but I have to say it was very nice !

Faye Sat 28-Sept-13 22:41:17

Just popping in for a cup of tea, I have brought a bag of green tea from Adelaide Central Market to share, (I love that place), it's 6.30am and I am just about to get up. My family and I are finally all in the same place after 22 months. Today we are heading off to a seaside town for a few days. My favourite thing in the world is to have all my grandchildren together and I have been looking forward to this time for ages.

Bramble Crumble would have been very nice tiggy, you greedy guts. grin

kittylester Sun 29-Sept-13 05:26:36

Enjoy your trip Faye. I couldn't sleep so I'm going to make some madeleines. I pop back when they are ready. brew

ffinnochio Sun 29-Sept-13 06:45:00

The wafting scents of madeleines has enticed me in after a month away travelling to visit my family. Jet lagged to the eyeballs, so I'm making a pot of strong black coffee for all who are sleepless.
It's done me a power of good to have been away, and it's good to be back. smile

dustyangel Sun 29-Sept-13 07:32:27

I've just waved my family goodbye and feel sad even though I'll see them again in about three weeks. A cup of tea will go down nicely.
Nice to see you back ffinnochio.
I might take that cuppa back to bed, it is Sunday after all.

Welcome home to all my pals who have been away. Safe journey to all my pals who are "in transit" smile

Mr and Mrs Marelli are enjoying good weather. The sea is skittish but the sky is clear. Beautiful autumnal foliage.

tiggypiro WELCOME! The kitchen is open to all. It's simply a place that is warm and peaceful and pleasant. Bramble crumble happens to be a favourite of mine. Perhaps next time you'll make a very much larger one wink.

I must tell you about the delicious chocolate that Marelli gave us...^Bramble and Cardamon^ - we usually have one piece each in the evenings. We had four each last night. We were also given a bottle of Summer Harvest Raspberry Dressing. It can be used with salad, fish and pasta. Rory was also treated to a tin of Salmon, Turkey and Prawn "A complete healthy & natural recipe for cats" Does he like it? Is the Pope Catholic? wink Thank you flowers

I apologise for not being clued up with all the happenings on GN. I feel that I'm neglecting you lot. To be honest, since we returned home, I've been trying to catch up on so many levels. We're planning to redecorate and give our sitting room a proper face-lift. I've been looking for Harris Tweed cushions for the smart sofa that is on order. I'm also researching a new sound system for Mr soop. He deserves a treat.

I promised family that I would print photos of the gathering. We've a party to plan for next weekend. Just a few friends for a Champagne buffet. It will be a celebration of our twenty five years of marriage. sunshine

Lona Sun 29-Sept-13 12:55:49

soop You can catch up with us lot as slowly as you wish, don't rush yourself off your feet!
It sounds as though you are having a very happy time at the moment, so savour it all with mr soop smile

Next weekend will be very special and you don't want to be exhausted then do you? flowers

Meanwhile, lots of sunshine for you xx

soop Sun 29-Sept-13 15:24:23

Lona Hugs a plenty and smile galore. xx

kittylester Sun 29-Sept-13 16:53:22

Sadly my madeleines were a touch dry so I've made a raspberry trifle with them instead - dig in! I'll just sit in a corner and relax for a bit, if it's ok with you all. smile

Grannylin Sun 29-Sept-13 17:44:25

Hello ffinnochio welcome back. What's been happening in your garden while you've been away?
Your trifle sounds delish kitty, I'll just add a jug of Devon cream to help it go down smile

kittylester Sun 29-Sept-13 19:49:09

I've just uploaded a photo of yesterday's birthday girl, all dressed and ready to go to her 'Paint a Pot' party. She managed not to get a spot of paint on the wonderful dress. grin
