An MSP no doubt.

Prime minister I reckon.

That is a crafty young woman. What is she proposing to do with her life? The Secret Service, presumably?

thatbags Tue 03-Sept-13 19:18:10

She got put on a table with The Three Worst Boys today. I asked if this was because she was one of the naughtiest as well. No! shock. How could I suggest it?!

So I said maybe the teacher felt she was better able to cope with the The Worst Boys than anyone else.

hmm

At the last parents' evening several of her teachers said how good she was in class, if rather 'chatty'. However, she had arranged that we only saw teachers of her favourite subjects that time wink

My teenage son would often [nearly, but not quite] miss the last bus to catch the last train etc. and, as the bus drew away, would hand me course work [with a flourish] and add...get this in the post and explain that it's a tad late because.........................I was such a sucker wink

soop Tue 03-Sept-13 15:20:11

With you all the way, bags wink

Stansgran Tue 03-Sept-13 14:50:53

I used to remove the duvet plus cover as soon as the alarm plus ten minutes had gone. We had no bus and mums took it in turn to drive. Mine were always to be waited for.

harrigran Tue 03-Sept-13 10:36:59

I had to get two teenagers out of bed and make sure they caught the bus at 7.15 on a morning. I have to admit that I often went back to bed when everyone left the house smile

Can't help feeling a bit sorry for them. (the kids) Wouldn't be that age again!

GS1 starts secondary school today. Just when he's gone into the wanting to sleep in phase.

Lona Tue 03-Sept-13 09:45:51

Bags, You could always say that if she's too late for the bus, she must stay at home and tidy the lounge from top to bottom!

Two birds with one stone? grin

glammanana Tue 03-Sept-13 09:13:10

Fingers crossed she doesn't start on the midnight feasts bags DS1 tried to convince me he was sleep walking once when he was caught red handed in the "munchies" drawer during the night. grin

thatbags Tue 03-Sept-13 09:05:02

I'll save that idea for the next campaign, when, if I lose the CAKE BATTLE.

thatbags Tue 03-Sept-13 09:03:53

Thanks for that, vegas! grin At least I know what I'm up against. Oh boy!!

vegasmags Tue 03-Sept-13 08:38:44

I hate to say this Bagsbut I think this lass is her mother's daughter! grin

Penstemmon Tue 03-Sept-13 08:33:42

hahahahaha! grin Well an odd logic but at least she got up!

whenim64 Tue 03-Sept-13 08:31:49

Think laterally, Bags! When she gets up to knock the alarm off, nip in behind her, lie on her bed so she can't get back in, and repeat until her routine has changed. grin

JessM Tue 03-Sept-13 08:00:46

Go bags. Turn off the electricity at 8.05 or whatever time she has to leave grin

MiceElf Tue 03-Sept-13 07:59:39

You've got to admire her creativity.

And they do say teenagers need more sleep, especially in the morning....

thatbags Tue 03-Sept-13 07:53:27

It will save me money in teacakes and other Minibags goodies.... till she convinces me that going back to bed after getting up to switch off the alarm, which is outside her room, in order to – wait for it! – "test her eyes" to see if she could stay awake (you have to laugh! grin) is a good idea... till then, NO CAKE/biscuits/etc.

Alternatively, she can just sort out a good morning routine that doesn't involve me acting as back-up when her "test" fails.
