Good Evening - Mick good luck with your new home. I've had some contact with Anchor housing, and hope your experience is a good one.
I didn't have chance to read this in the morning -as we had a late night, after some lovely and very close friends got married, aged 58. Great day and evening for all involved.

Thank you, Lona - I'm sure you mean the family expansion, not the outfit!

And Galen - I've tried it on now...so definitely not. shock

Galen Sat 07-Sept-13 16:11:37

Can we have a photo of you in your costume.

Lona Sat 07-Sept-13 16:04:09

Good morning all! A bit cloudy here in Yorkshire, but the sun's doing its best to fight its way through.

Off to an 80s charity night tonight and my costume has just arrived. Purple string gloves, legwarmers and a net ra-ra skirt that turns out to be 10 inches long. I shall be wearing other things of course...

And tomorrow the ever-expanding family descends for Sunday dinner. I was just counting my blessings, thinking that 15 months ago I remarked to a friend that it looked as though I was never going to get the longed-for grandchild, and I now have 2 gorgeous boys, each of which has had another little cousin born this year. We have our own mini baby boom going on here! grin

Ariadne Sat 07-Sept-13 11:52:09

I will indeed, Nina! How interesting.

ninathenana Sat 07-Sept-13 11:06:22

Morning all

It's going to be an interesting day for us. DH's sister is coming. He hasn't seen or spoken to her for 25yrs !!!!!

Her son is bringing her. Watch this space grin

'I can see all obstacles in my way'.

Nice morning here in spite of forecast... but some dark clouds are starting to appear. Rain would be welcome, - ground very dry.
Happy bunny today as going to dinner at son's this evening... yippee!

harrigran Sat 07-Sept-13 10:16:45

Good morning. I can see clearly now the rain has gone smile
Yesterday was dismal and it rained the entire day. Today the sun is shining and I am going to have lunch out with DH, a bit of peace and quiet before GD1's birthday tomorrow. I have caved in and bought her yet another Nintendo, third in three years. What in creation do children do to them that renders them unusable after a month or two ? Brownie points for Grandma because this one is 3D.
Good luck with the move Michael.

First thread I look at and I would be worried if I didn't see you at the top mick! Do thank you for starting it. Good luck with the move, handy to be in the centre of town. My late friend in Banbury used to enjoy taking refuge from his large family in one of the coffee shops with the papers! Sounded good to mesmile

Bez Sat 07-Sept-13 09:14:05

Good morning from a bit of a dull France - had rain in the night by the look of things and the sun did peep out but is now undecided whether or not to shine! So I have the age old question as to whether I risk putting the washing out or not!!
Happy moving Mick - big black pen to label the boxes! So many of you with great plans for the weekend - hope they all go well and everyone has a most enjoyable time with family and friends. I think I shall be doing things with plums and tomatoes.

kittylester Sat 07-Sept-13 09:11:26

This is a really lovely thread Mick so I echo PRINTMISS - keep doing it. sunshine

PRINTMISS Sat 07-Sept-13 08:48:09

Good morning to you all, just read the thread about aggressive posts, none of those here! We have sunshine and cloud, and it is finals weekend for bowls. My friend who took my place in the mixed pairs (after I fractured my wrist) is playing in the mixed pairs final with my partner, so supporting her there. She is also in the ladies singles tomorrow, so back to club then. My husband not very well at the moment, so hope he will be well enough to enjoy the bowls too. Best of luck with the move Mick don't forget to say 'good morning' as you have been doing. Enjoy your days everyone.

A sunny morning here on the North East coast. I have an appointment with a gentleman from the Office of National Statistics this morning. I have been selected randomly (why me?) to be questioned on all manner of issues and apparently you cannot refuse to take part. Then off to do grandmas shopping and spend an hour or two reminiscing.

Oh I didn't realise you had made the decision to move Mick I thought you were just thinking about it. Hope it goes well and that you are very happy in your new place. smile

The word has obvioulsy spread about your "relaxed buffet" kittylester hope you have a lovely time with all your family.smile

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Lona Sat 07-Sept-13 07:33:53

Morning! Good luck with your move Mick.
Hope you have a good day Kitty and you get plenty of help with the 'relaxed' buffet. smile

I'm having lunch with a friend to discuss our plans for next weekend away in Wales, and later I'm babysitting for ds and dil.
All in all, a lovely day.

LizG Sat 07-Sept-13 07:28:49

You made the decision then Mick. Hope all goes well with the move.

kittylester Sat 07-Sept-13 07:16:44

I hope you are happy in your new home Mick. I've never heard of Anchor Homes - what are they like?

The weather is brightening up in North Leicestershire.

Busy day in prospect. Extremely pregnant DD3, her DH and DGD2 are coming for the weekend so everyone else is coming for lunch too. I don't remember inviting them but there are now ten adults and five children coming for a relaxed buffet confused. Just hope DD2 doesn't go into labour as well grin
