Good morning everyone. Dull and grey here but not actually raining at the moment. We are off shopping this morning as DGS wants to let his girlfriend see our hypermarket etc. we shall most likely treat them to lunch out too.
Happy packing Mick

Morning Mick and everyone else. Lots of packing being done this week I expect. We had sunshine beaming through the window at first but the forecast is not good.

Good morning everyone - slept late today, no idea why, and I have probably missed a really bright morning. Nothing exciting planned, so we shall see what the day brings. Enjoy your day.

All the best for you move, Mick. Chilly here – down to 5.8° overnight. Spotted a couple of jays this morning. That was nice; they stay fairly hidden in the summer.

Good morning, cold and wet. As was I in the night, first night of Autumn snuggled up with my hot water bottle and it burst .

Good morning! DH is 66 today and (I hope) enjoyed birthday tea with our DDs and husbands plus friend and her little boy yesterday on the final day of our little DGSs 4 day stay with us. After a squally weekend - sunshine and showers - it is typical that today has dawned so sunny and bright - albeit COLD! However, the showers didn't stop fun in the village playground, every day, adventures in nearby Emberton country park, feeding the ducks, playing on the pirate ship, sca-a-a-ry slides and - climax - exploring the "deep dark wood" of Salcey Forest yesterday with its Treetop Walk, mysterious jungle undergrowth and (despite Mummy and Daddy forgetting to send their wellies wth them )- some serious wading through muddy puddles by little bro (22 months)!! DD1 and SIL arrived back from the wedding they had been at in Florence right in the middle of bathtime so they could take the little men home in their PJs.
You might understand why I didn't wake up until nearly 8 this morning!smile

I now know where Brackley is, Mick! Saw a signpost on the way home from a reunion weekend near Northampton. Hope all goes well with the move - keep us up to date.

Wet and very windy here in North Devon, but some lovely sunny spells too. Must go and watch the waves crashing in!

Wet and windy with sunny bits here in south Devon. Definitely no progress today (yippee!!!) with autumn programme of shrub pruning.
Mention of waves crashing, Ariadne, makes me feel like driving down to Teignmouth right now..... Yeah!!!

Sunny here, but cold and windy. Spent all afternoon at the hospital, having my pre-assessment for my op next Monday, I have to be there for 7.30am, and I aint an early bird! Good luck tomorrow Ariadne.
