Further south than that Dusty and on the borders of Lot and Garonne. Wine growing and farming country here - at the moment quite a bit of hunting going on too especially at the weekends. It is lovely countryside though and where we are is very quiet and calm - house is surrounded by fields and only half a dozen houses along the whole road which is a couple of Kilometers long.

The sun has peeped out again today but hidden away again!

It's quite cool here in Fife although I have not yet put on the ch - hoping to keep going as long as possible without. I have underfloor heating in the kitchen so tend to spend most of my time out there. When I went to boarding school in Sussex, the heating (such as it was) was switched-on on 1st October and not a day before shock. Today I have given in and admitted that Summer has gone and am wearing warmer clothes - the shorts and T-shirts consigned to the 'summer' drawer......

Good Morning, a few puffy white clouds earlier but they have already burnt off and it looks as if temperatures will rise to the high twenties like yesterday.
Bez are you anywhere near Riberac? We spent a lovely holiday there with friends some years ago.

Nothing much to report here! But, someone I was talking too yesterday said that there is snow forecast in October and we will continue to have significant snow until January confused

Dry and quite bright in the north east. Full of cold after trying not to put the heating on until the 14th.

Good morning? I don't think there's any danger of a hosepipe ban is there?

Back from a relaxing weekend in Wales where we had everything but snow and hail, and got soaked just as we'd climbed to the top of the hill!

All good fun grin

Good morning, the chilly weather seems pretty general, but as you say Iam64 the summer was fantastic. I think we are due some better weather at the end of the week. Yesterday was a lovely day for drying the washing, today it is very still. We are off to the local tip to get rid of our garden rubbish, we spend all year growing it, then cut it all back, take it to the tip, and buy it back again in the form of soil improver.

Good morning from a damp, rainy, grey, chilly north west. Normal service has resumed here, after the best summer for years.

Rain has not yet arrived in East Sussex but its coming. Need to phone double glazing repair company to get windows fixed as some letting in drafts. More expense.

Good morning from a dull and dreary looking Dordogne - think it is set for the day. Taking DGS and girlfriend to the local market this morning and then I think Bergerac town this afternoon. We are so enjoying their company - celebrated their degrees last evening with champagne and a lovely strawberry gateau they chose! I hope some people see sun today and that it has not deserted us altogether.
