I have been looking for a long (36") fine needlecord skirt for ages. I have found a fabulous one from a company called Sea Salt. Typically though, amongst all my many tops, I have nothing that goes with it. It is a very dark navy background with greens, blues and brown leaf design, but just not any of the greens and blues I have, and I don't do brown. Does this mean I need to send it back or should I go shopping? What a dilemma!!

Not at all! Work up a few whims before you go, and act as if to the manner born! It sounds wonderful, Galen - now I'm REALLY jealous! smile

Galen Sat 21-Sept-13 16:02:50

Well the blurb on the cunard site says caters to your every whim?
I'm not sure I have whims.
I unusually go princess grill - no butler- this a free upgrade.
Seems a bit of a waste just for me!

Lona Sat 21-Sept-13 15:59:55

"Needs" Galen not whims! wink

I couldn't possibly..................

Re unpacking, it was a long time ago, but yes, I think he did.I was young and slim then with flashy undies so I didn't mind wouldn't like it now

Galen Sat 21-Sept-13 15:45:34

Lona do they unpack for you?
And will you share your 'whims' with us?

Stansgran Sat 21-Sept-13 15:40:42

I'm getting ready for visitors and everything seems to have not gone right. DH incapable of picking up a car from the garage using the bus so I've spent this morning hanging around (up at seven) waiting for him .got home at 11.30 and started the puddings for visitors. DH had asked for food preferences. My feeling is that you either eat what your given or shut up when you visit, and I cook fairly straightforward food for visitors. He couldn't get the other car to unlock yesterday and he got rattier and rattier.my fault because I had made other arrangements for yesterday weeks ago and had not been able to take him to pick up the car . He has had all summer to deal with this car problem. And I've overcooked this creme caramel. And I don't seem t

Oh sounds lovely and a butler, lucky you will he unpack your smalls (mine would be called very big stretchy m&s's) I'm off self catering to crete. My husbands a very experienced biker so we will hire a 250 scooter and bumble about the island as we please. We did one end of the island a few years ago and had a fab time. I certainly won't get on the back of his bike in this country anymore but abroad it's lovely. Although I may chicken out and hire a car. I hope you have a lovely time. I'v been told the food on cruise ships is wonderful. I'm busy packing too. Working right up to the last day so it must be done this weekend

Lona Sat 21-Sept-13 14:36:06

I've been on a cruise and had our own butler. He was delightful and catered to our every need, it was wonderful.

Then we got home!!

gracesmum Sat 21-Sept-13 11:56:39

Might be Carson - filming was 7 months ago and he's probably at a bit of a loose end grin

Galen Sat 21-Sept-13 09:42:11

annodomini Sat 21-Sept-13 09:37:28

Galen Sat 21-Sept-13 09:30:57

And more important, a free bottle of spirits!wine

Oh, that sounds lovely, Galen! I'm hopeless at matching jewellery, and just end up wearing the same pieces all the time. Come to think of it, I'm not much good at matching anything, and tend to stick to black. [boring emoticon]. Where are you cruising to this time? [jealous emoticon]

Galen Fri 20-Sept-13 22:40:43

hmm only got one diamond pendant. Think I'll take me beads, got some lapis ones, some turquoise and pink coral and some red coral and pearl. All with the matching earrings and rings of course!

harrigran Fri 20-Sept-13 22:31:26

The diamonds Galen can't go wrong with gold and diamonds smile
Have a great cruise.

Galen Fri 20-Sept-13 22:22:30

I spent the morning packing! Also trying to colour co-ordinate!
Just the jewellry to pack now!
As I can't remember what I've packed, I don't know what jewellery to take!confused
Pearls of course, but what else?

Agus Fri 20-Sept-13 22:22:19

I would go for a navy top with navy opaque tights to match with your needlecord skirt.

Like the sound of your top and cashmere wrap Bags. Are you planning anything for the lower half.

Hope you get your medication sorted out

ninathenana Fri 20-Sept-13 22:02:42

you say pink is one of your colours. Depending on the shade I think that would go well with blues, greens and brown.

nanapug Fri 20-Sept-13 09:37:38

Got it wrong, I am summer not spring....
Glad you sorted it thatbags. I do that sort of thing. Hope you get the tablets sorted as that doesn't sound right.

thatbags Fri 20-Sept-13 06:50:35

Hope you find something, pug. I went to slepp last night worrying about an outfit for a dinner dance I'm going to on Saturday. This top, that top? Those shoes, these shoes? Woke up to robin song this morning and the decisions were made. I'm going to wear a top I'd forgotten about and my cashmere stole which will be perfect. Can't think why I didn't think of them last night. Hey ho. such is life.

I was, in additon, delighted to wake up to robin song and not have a hangover. No, I haven't been drinking too much alcohol (haven't been drinking any actually). It's a new painkiller that has caused me to wake up with a humdinger of a hangover for some weeks now. I didn't take it last night. Back to the GP next week.

nanapug Fri 20-Sept-13 06:43:13

Nice idea POGS, it would go very well, but cream is too pale for my delicate skin ;) No seriously I can't wear white, cream or black, it is too draining. I am "spring" on the colour analysis charts. That is blues, pinks, purples and some blue/greens. Have never been assessed by a colour analysis person but naturally fell in to those colours and was told that I had got it right. I do try to follow that and I know there will be many ladies on here who will pooh pooh it, but if I buy something outside the colour range it never gets worn. It has certainly saved me lots of money and mistakes.

POGS Thu 19-Sept-13 18:00:22

nana

Shop, shop, shop. What about cream coloured top?

nanapug Thu 19-Sept-13 17:40:08

Sadly janeainsworth I am a bit anal about colours being right so couldn't possibly not buy something ;)

janeainsworth Thu 19-Sept-13 16:54:55

Things don't have to match these days.

kittylester Thu 19-Sept-13 16:52:18

I love Sea Salt macs and coats. smile
