Monday was such a lovely day and then the fog arrived. For my weather ditto what gillbob, moomin and Stansgran said.

Good morning everyone,it's a grey morning here overlooking The Mersey and although it's dry not very appealing at all so I've decided to have a day at home and catch up on bits and bob's that I have put off for the past week.
Michael just do one box at a time and you will soon get there it took us weeks to get sorted and remember where everything went.grin

Stansgran Wed 25-Sept-13 09:18:14

Damp and dreary in Durham . What to do with the visitors from Oz?

Penstemmon Wed 25-Sept-13 09:15:37

p.s. grey and cool and damp here but the michaelmas daisies are flourishing in the garden and my penstemon plants are still in flower so cheering up a dull day!

Penstemmon Wed 25-Sept-13 09:13:56

Mick good luck with the rest of the settling in..been here a couple of years and still have a cupboard or two to sort where we 'put it in there for the time being'!

gillybob so sorry to hear about your DS. Hope all goes well today for him. Also I have everything crossed for you that this is the start of a truly positive time from now on as i think you have had more than your share of worries recently {{hugs}}} and flowers

BAnanas Wed 25-Sept-13 08:45:22

I guess that's the downside of mircro climate Printmiss, shame you couldn't have taken your washing with you to the bowls club!

PRINTMISS Wed 25-Sept-13 08:40:57

Good morning all, the prediction about the weather here where we live was not quite right BAnanas as the mist lingered all day and the washing was still damp at 5 p.m. However, at the bowls club, just a few miles down the road the sun was brilliant all morning and really warm, had a lovely morning with friends, but useless at bowls, that's how it goes some days its good and others its not so good. Glad you have moved in safely Mick, just take it steady now, everything will sort itself out in the space of time. I think, it is going to be warm today, the mist has lifted, but might come back with the change in tide.

BAnanas Wed 25-Sept-13 08:28:17

Slightly foggy here, but I hope like yesterday it will lift and turn into what became a hot day, perhaps we will get an Indian summer after all. Printmiss if you are around later, you predicted yesterday that it was going to be a hot day and had the washing out early, you were right!

moomin Wed 25-Sept-13 08:25:15

gillybob flowers never rains but it pours doesn't it? Hope the op goes well.
Hope the deer weren't flying through the air Greatnan!

Misty murky here in Northumberland and looks it will stay that way all day again.

Greatnan Wed 25-Sept-13 08:15:35

Hope you're ok Gillybob flowers

I'm here with Greatnan in the French Alps, surrounded by lakes, forests, ski slopes and mountains. Such beautiful scenery and it's yet another sunny day. I can understand why she loves it here. She took me up on a mountain ridge to see Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc in opposite directions, then as we descended the mountain pass we came across deer, and lots of paragliders flying through the air. This morning it's sunny again. so we're off to Yvoire and to find another mountain on which to enjoy a picnic. I could do this every day!

Lona Wed 25-Sept-13 08:11:54

gillybob flowers and (((hugs))) You're really having a rotten time and I feel for you and your ds and family.

Nelliemoser Wed 25-Sept-13 08:02:51

Gilly hope the operation all goes well for him.
Good morning - lovely and sunny here - was 28 deg yesterday afternoon and looks as if it may be the same today. As we spent all day yesterday sorting out French registration for the car and then getting the insurance up and running we shall have a day at home today. Friends popping in this morning for a coffee.
On a comparison note the car insurance here is less than half the price in UK including the best level of assistance ( AA equivalent). And as for the travel insurance - did that too - €111 each for total cover for seven weeks except for cancellation of flights as the broker pointed out that Master card would cover it as paid with that. The cover is for seven weeks and four of those in USA!! There were no questions asked about health - not allowed to here!

Just read the thread for Tuesday and realise Mick you're in and moved! Wonderful - what's a few boxes -you're there.
Sun now breaking through here -going to be a lovely day.

gillybob Wed 25-Sept-13 07:55:45

P.S I meant to say sorry I haven't been around for a while. Although I have been with you all in spirit. smile

Good morning everyone. Fog like "pea soup" here on the North East coast. Fog horn kept me awake all night. My DS spent the night in hospital after a nasty accident resulting in severing his little finger . Having an emergency operation this morning. Unfortunalty things don't get much easier round here.
I am sure you will get settled eventually Mick it just takes time.

Have a good day everyone. smile

NfkDumpling Wed 25-Sept-13 07:15:18

Muggy and overcast here. I think all agencies involved in house moves are trained in the art of prevarication and confusion. Except the removal men. I hope things sort themselves out soon Mick.

kittylester Wed 25-Sept-13 07:11:04

Morning all! It's quite foggy here but a bit sticky.

Have a good day everyone! Mick, take your time smile

Lona Wed 25-Sept-13 07:02:49

Good morning Mick, it takes ages doesn't it?
Take your time, Rome wasn't built in a day and you don't want to wear yourself out.

The day hasn't quite woken up, but it's still warm, smile

12Michael Wed 25-Sept-13 06:52:46

Good Morning Everyone,
Looks like another fine day here in Brackley.
Move still unnsettled still trying to sort things out.
