You know your GC have visited when....

You can't find your car keys/TV remote/house keys because either you put them on a high up shelfo so that they couldn't find them and play with them or hide them.........or you didn't.
The cleaning stuff from under the kitchen sink has migrated to a shelf in the garage, the bathroom cabinet is bulging with all the things you put out of reach and you've got a yellow plastic duck or three in your bath with you.

The TV remotes are in the toy box.

Every single remote control in the house is on the coffee table in front of the sofa (and you have forgotten which one actually controls the TV) and every single thing that can be altered on the TV, the Hi-fi, the CD/DVD player, the videotape player, the satellite box, the Central heating controls, and the oven timer has been set to something weird.

Three is a suspicious smell coming from the waste bin - that's where they put the discarded nappies!

The house is a complete tip and you need a drink!!

My shoes are found soaking wet in the garden having been used for dressing up and then discarded.

All the tops are off the smellies in the bathroom and the dog stinks of Chanel No 5

A whole toilet roll is unwound and stuffed down the loo

A load of apps have been hidden on the iPhone where I can't find them

There's bread dough stuck in the dog's hair

The central heating is on very high setting

I'm asleep in my armchair ten minutes after they've left!

I know when DGD has gone home as all my hair slides and bulldog clips are all over my dressing table and hair brushes left out,the lids from nail varnish have been put back on wrong bottles and the bath room is a mixture of allsorts of different perfumes,the joy of having a 12 yr old and barney re-appears as if by magic from his hiding place in the dressing room where he hides until she has gone just in case he gets brushed by mistake.

Hand prints.......All over the French windows and glass coffee table.

You find the elastic thingies they have to tie their hair up under the furniture for months after they have gone.

You find a little note in a drawer saying "I love you Granny and Grandpa", (and you know it is six months until the next visit).

DH and I are ready for bed at 8pm (and we sleep!)

when, I wouldn't use the toothbrush until you've had it in milton for at least a day!
