There are no AA batteries left in the house, they bring their high tech games but the batteries are just running out but no matter grandma always has plenty.

I decided to wash all the cushion and sofa covers this week and have discovered that perhaps GC no2 isn't quite as potty-trained as her mother thinks she is... hmm When they return next week there will be fleeces on all the sofa seats!

Nice !grin

You have pictures of a different sea creature stuck on every door throughout the house. Today we have the shark room, the dolphin room, the fish room, the jellyfish room etc. all courtesy of 5 year old granddaughter. smile

Deedaa Mon 14-Oct-13 22:14:40

Well at least it's educational gillybob smile

hummingbird Mon 14-Oct-13 22:17:47

Aw, lovely thread! Most of the above! Luckily, mine are still little enough to think that tidying up is a game - long may it last! smile

gillybob Mon 14-Oct-13 22:21:27

What's worrying Deedaa is that I have an Octopus and a Crab pasted into my bedroom door. Apparently it's because me and grandad share the room and we have been given one each. I bet I know which one I am too grin

When discussing with my neighbour which grey bin was mine and which his, after the collection, I was able to confirm the newer bin was mine by pointing to the sprinkling of Disney stickers that had been slapped on there! 'There you go, nana - you got a Monsters bin.' grin

smile...and my specs are completely wrecked or, indeed, lost!

Ariadne Tue 21-Jan-14 13:25:22

All the glass doors have finger and hand marks at small person height. And you keep noticing more when the sun shines!

Nelliemoser Tue 21-Jan-14 14:04:50

Ariadne Same here, snotty hand prints at toddler height on the patio doors. grin

kittylester Tue 21-Jan-14 14:09:38

You are really, really, really tired. Just like I am today! DD2 and Ellie [the washer watcher] and Lottie go home tomorrow after 11 days - bliss! grin But I shall miss them! sad

It's our large, glass topped coffee table that gets me Ariadne - quite how they get marks in the middle of the underside of the glass baffles me as I can hardly reach to baby-wipe it.

Never mind, two slightly bigger ones are coming for the weekend. Is there an emoticon for 'am I bats, or what'confused

When you can't get the "Peppa Pig" music out of your head...

The TV comes on at CBeebies.

Your computer comes on at a jigsaw.

You find a plastic space vehicle lurking after all the toys have been put back in the loft. (Even though you scoured the place!)

There's a load of beans, trifle and wonky fairy cakes to eat up.

There is jam(or something) on the underneath of the table.

You are weary to your bones.

How I miss it!

When you find the dog's favourite toy in the fridge.

gillybob Wed 22-Jan-14 15:49:58

Finding my mobile with a video of two of my DGC singing 'I love you grandma yes I dooooo'

Finding the same camera with a video of my two DGC singing ' I hate Runrig and I wish my grandma did toooooo'

My cushions having 'walked' from sofas and chairs to a mountain in the middle of the lounge. My small table on it's side having being used as a rocket!, bin full of nappies (outside luckily) Yes to the smears at knee level on window. The window cleaner tries so hard to wipe them off from the outside?????

In the summer my flower tubs half dug. (He does have a sandpit)

Aching back but full heart. I get so much out of them.

Paper aeroplanes in strange places. I could go on forever.

When you have a smile on your face and an ache in your heart

Wheniwasyourage Wed 22-Jan-14 22:11:47

You've ALL had my DGC to stay! Particularly those of you who have stickers in unlikely places and extra bits of Lego, old Ladybird books and cars which don't appear until the boxes have been put away. The sticky marks on the windows can be at eye level too, if you were holding up a DGC to look at the birds in the garden. We have low level marks, which we always forget about, on the glass door in the kitchen and they really show up best when the sun shines and you have visitors.

POGS, you are right. We are SO lucky!
