You find a plastic space vehicle lurking after all the toys have been put back in the loft. (Even though you scoured the place!)

There's a load of beans, trifle and wonky fairy cakes to eat up.

There is jam(or something) on the underneath of the table.

You are weary to your bones.

You are really, really, really tired. Just like I am today! DD2 and Ellie [the washer watcher] and Lottie go home tomorrow after 11 days - bliss! But I shall miss them!

It's our large, glass topped coffee table that gets me Ariadne - quite how they get marks in the middle of the underside of the glass baffles me as I can hardly reach to baby-wipe it.

Never mind, two slightly bigger ones are coming for the weekend. Is there an emoticon for 'am I bats, or what'

All the glass doors have finger and hand marks at small person height. And you keep noticing more when the sun shines!

When discussing with my neighbour which grey bin was mine and which his, after the collection, I was able to confirm the newer bin was mine by pointing to the sprinkling of Disney stickers that had been slapped on there! 'There you go, nana - you got a Monsters bin.'

What's worrying Deedaa is that I have an Octopus and a Crab pasted into my bedroom door. Apparently it's because me and grandad share the room and we have been given one each. I bet I know which one I am too

You have pictures of a different sea creature stuck on every door throughout the house. Today we have the shark room, the dolphin room, the fish room, the jellyfish room etc. all courtesy of 5 year old granddaughter.

I decided to wash all the cushion and sofa covers this week and have discovered that perhaps GC no2 isn't quite as potty-trained as her mother thinks she is... When they return next week there will be fleeces on all the sofa seats!

There are no AA batteries left in the house, they bring their high tech games but the batteries are just running out but no matter grandma always has plenty.

Yes to it all and it's half term next week ANDthe week after.

The printer is out of paper and ink; you find yourself with a small piece of Lego embedded in your bare foot.

The interior lights, radio/CD and mirror settings in the car have all been altered and in the back seat I've found a Ben 10 ruler, pirate's eye patch, lost photo that was taken to school, ripped up party invitation from 'a girl' and three acorns!

I find an uneaten crumpet down the back of the sofa!

We had all six here over the weekend - the 2 youngest staying and the others in and out all day. (3 to 17) And their parents, of course!

I know they've been because:

Even the mugs right at the back of the cupboard have been used
Every piece of tech. needs charging
There is no milk, cereal, orange squash or chocolate cake left
You re-discover the adhesive properties of said chocolate cake and cereal, grated cheese and baked beans on a ceramics floor.
When you think you've tidied up and are sitting down, you see several small plastic things under the opposite settee
The car is full of sand.

Exhausted but happy.

Stickers, stickers everywhere! Determined wee things - they don't want to get sucked up the hoover. The only thing worse is glitter!!!

I removed all the cushions from the sofas yesterday to vacuum underneath them and clean the covers and found two cars, a whole load of popcorn, a dolly's dress, a pretty hair clip and a pack of love hearts. I felt quite a pang.

The settings on my camera and tablet have been changed. The problem is I haven't a clue how to get rid of the functions that I didn't even know they had!

We were out this morning and when we got back there were the champagne flutes and 30's china that DD3 had borrowed! And no toys out!
