There's just been tadpoles on the telly which reminded me of my 5yr old DD bring home 2 tadpoles to look after for the school summer holidays. not having anywhere sensible to pop them, I put them in with Iggle and Oggle, 2 goldfish, The goldfish ate them and my daughter cried for ages. I still get blamed for this 40yrs on. Has anyone else ever done anything like this. blush

What happened with the rampant rabbit?

Hold on a minute though. I'm sure my adventurous friend once had a little toy called that?

Rampant rabbit - When I moved in with my DDH after divorce I took with me 4 children, 18 mice, 18 hamsters and three cats. The rabbit was looked after by our estate agent while we waited for our house to be completed. When we went to fetch the rabbit the door was opened by a tragic looking 4 year old who was covered in plasters. Our rabbit had tried to mate with everything it came into contact with and also attacked the child. The rabbit was duly taken to our new home where it continued to cause havoc. We knew of a pub where they homed unwanted pets, ie rabbits, goats etc. My DDH and I drove to the pub with the rabbit in a blanket. I went to look over the fence at the re-homed pets and spied a rabbit similar to ours. 'Look ' I said there is one like Bandit. I looked around at my smirking DDH and and empty blanket. My plan was to ask the owners. Oops, quick retreat. A year later I wanted to stop at the pub and look to see how Bandit was doing. The enclosure was empty except for two donkeys. I asked a young girl who was tending them where the smaller animals were. Well, she said we had a rabbit who used to attack things so we re-homed them all again. blush blush blush]

The reason why we had so many mice, hamsters was because the mice were pregnant when we got them (assured that they were both males) and the hamsters -two adult male and a female had had a threesome on our living room carpet when being assured by my Natural History expert husband that if they had a large space to roam they would not fight. I wouldn't exactly call it a fight but a few weeks later the female gave birth to 8 long haired babies and 8 golden hamsters. I spoke to the vet who explained that they have two 'horns' to their wombs and each one had been fertilized by a different male. Learned something that day.

Well, obviously, Flowerofthewest you shouldn't have called that rabbit Bandit. Just asking for trouble.

My rabbit is called Rabbit Burns and he stands around in the garden looking soulful a lot.
