Are you an Agatha Christie fan ninathenana? smile I would love to do the round the world cruise, but fear being sea-sick so won't do it [oh, yes, there is the money thing as well!]I would like to visit USA too but hate long air flights [what a wuss I am.]What I really would love is to be able to afford a cottage to use as a bolt hole for lots of little holidays, maybe in the Lake District or Devon. It won't be happening unless I win the lottery, but I would have to buy a ticket first, which I never do, hee-hee.

I've been on a cruise half way round the world by 60 but the rest I'm still waiting for.

A round the world cruise is my No.1

trip on the Orient Express features too along with a few nights at the art deco hotel on Burgh Island.

When I was 60 months off my 60th birthday, I started a bucket list - 60 things to do before I'm 60. I set off with great enthusiasm, but have had to do a search for the spreadsheet today, it's been so long since I looked at it. Blowing the cobwebs off - figuratively speaking, for pedants like me - I find I've done just 27 of them. With only 15 months to go! So thanks for your post, printmiss - it's got me thinking again about all those things I want to do. None of mine are really hopeless, though some are pretty ambitious - walking the Sydney Bridge and yes, travelling on the Orient Express do feature.

Well not impossible really, just fantasies. I used to say "When I have arrived in this world" (meaning more money than sense - if you know what I mean) - "I wll have travelled on the Orient Express from London to Venice and dined in the best hotels there" - "I will have a pent-house flat overlooking the sea in Brighton" and "I will own a white Range-Rover with a black top". All of these silly hopeless dreams for me, and now I would not want any of them, but I wonder whether I would have enjoyed any of them had they been available?
